DO NOT BUY A DELL

I have been a customer of Dell computer since the company started, both in my personal life and professional life. I have been responsible for the purchase of thousands of Dell computers over the years. I am a Dell stockholder.

Despite this, I urge you for your own good, to not buy anything from Dell.

I am at my wits end with these people on a home computer I recently purchased. Suffice it to say it doesn't work. Over the course of 25 days, I have placed 31 phone calls, and spent almost 24 hours running diagnostics and tests and trying to be understood by Indian technicians. I have been put off and put off, and now am told that since I have waited so long, I can't return it.

Dell uses Indian call centers for all of their customer support, customer service, returns, hardware and software technical support. You have no way to speak with anyone actually located in the US. I have caught their techs and managers lying in their customer records of the calls I am placing. I have had two managers hang up on me.

If you value your sanity and your money, don't buy anything from Dell ... ever.....

I fell for all the hype and a few years back bought a Dell package deal, where I was to get this, this and this.

When I called to place the order I thought the guy was wonderful, helpful, knew what he was doing, blah, blah, blah.

After that, it didn't show up for ages, way longer than I thought it should take. But you can't call that person back, even tho he gave me the number, it always just said his mailbox was full.

Finally got it and all that I was supposed to get with it. No, it didn't work as it was supposed to.

So, yes, I went through the non-English speaking person who was NO HELP. I was going to be like those people on TV, throwing a computer thru a window!!

Geek Squad is who saved me. They were GREAT! Took care of everything.

I will never buy, recommend or even look at a Dell again.
