Why Should We Trust These Criminals?

This past week, a secret internal July report from the House Committee on Standards of Official Conduct (the Ethics Committee) was leaked to the press. The report had been 'hacked' off a junior employee's computer while it was connected to a non-secure network. The employee was fired.

The report contained the names and details of current (for July) ethics investigations underway in the House. It named over 30 House members, and several staff members. Some of these names had been previously known from other public disclosure, but some were not. At the top of the list - John Murtha (D-PA).

The outcry from House leadership has not been over the large number of members under investigation, but over the fact their secret report became public knowledge.

I am amazed, but not surprised. These career politicians, led by Lunatic in Chief Pelosi, do not want anyone to know who is dirty, especially when most of the names on the list are Democrat.

The American public should be outraged that such information, concerning legal and ethical violation investigations on their elected officials, are being held secret. Don't we deserve to know everyone who is being investigated and for what - not just the few Republicans that Pelosi and her lap dogs 'out' in press conferences?

Hey Mr. Obama - where is that promise of yours to be the most open administration in US history?

Sorry, I Just Don't Understand

The Vampire craze, that is ....

Why are people, mostly women, swooning after pasty faced, skinny teenagers who look like they haven't slept in 3 days? It's like '90210' in the dark ....

Twilight ... movies, books, posters, and all the typical paraphenalia that goes with teenage pop-stars. Except, grown women are hooked on it as well.

True Blood ... HBO series, wierd, ridiculous, geared for a 'mature' audience, nudity, silliness ...

Hundreds of other 'pretenders'. Go to a Barnes&Noble, look at the racks of vampire/werewolf/witch novels lined up in the teen section. Other titles in the Sci-Fi/Fantasy section, such as 'Jailbait Zombies', 'Undead Kama Sutra', 'X-Rated Bloodsuckers', 'Nymphos of Rocky Flats' (yes, these are real titles of real books on the shelves right now).

No offense to my wife or daughter, who are both hooked, but I just don't understand all the craziness.

Champion of Racial Relations

What famous American gave the following statement on his view of race in our society? What champion of civil rights can we attribute this incredibly wise statement?

"My racial views? You mean, my belief in a colorblind society where every individual is treated as a precious human being without regard to his race?"

A. Jesse Jackson
B. Al Sharpton
C. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.
D. Malcolm X
E. Lyndon Baines Johnson
F. Rev. Jeremiah Wright
G. Oprah
H. Bill Clinton
I. Nancy Pelosi
J. Harry Reid
K. Obama the Immaculate

What's your guess? Give up?

Rush Limbaugh, in a Wall Street Journal op-ed piece dated October 16, where he slammed racial politics as the reason he was booted out of a bid to become a partial owner of the St. Louis Rams.

Here's a link to the column - it's instructive ......

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704322004574477021697942920.html

Here's a funny video - Roger Goddell, commissioner of the NFL, testifying before the House about concussions int he NFL, is grilled over how he slammed Limbaugh in the press and stated that there was no way Rush would be allowed to be connected to the NFL. Rep. Steve King (R-IA) serves as the head bitch slapper .....

Pelosi Dumps on America

On the steps of the Capital this morning, Nancy Pelosi released the House version of Obamacare for the world to see. Her speech was filled with lies and assorted bullshit, meant to assure her supporters that this bill would fix the world, and not cost anything.

This document, all 1990 pages of it, are available for viewing. Here is a link provided by Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) on his official website:

http://joebarton.house.gov/media/pdfs/house_hcr_bill.pdf

Now, this is not the final bill that will become law, if enough idiots in Congress support it. The Senate has to come up with its own version, then negotiation between the two sides of Congress and the white House begins - to merge the bills into one that contains all they want. However, the House version is the 'stronger' of the two, and more of it will reach the final verison than that in the Senate version.

Amazing - this fundamental change to the country, written in lawyer-eze that has been crafted by liberals for years, is dropped out there for us to look at for a very short time. That is not by accident - if Pelosi could get away with it, she'd keep it hidden until vote time (she's done it before).

Folks, try to read some of this - at least look at the table of contents and see if there are specific areas that concern you. Keep your ears open in the coming days for interpretation - there are a lot of people looking at this trying to understand it, and they will be all over the airwaves and print with what they find. Don't be surprised at what you hear. Don't be surprised at the amount of pork that is tagged onto it as well.

Update - Folks, as you hear and read about the hundreds of outrageous things that are buried in this bill (like making it illegal to buy a personal health insurance policy from anyone but the government after 2013), remember ... all this crap, all of these Democrat efforts at 'healthcare reform' are intended to get this country into a single payer system. That is, health benefits, health insurance, health care - all of these are provided by the government or are under direct government control. This is the Democrat's stated purpose - it is Obama's stated purpose. Everything we see proposed and passed on healthcare are just stepping stones to that goal, and they will not stop short of the goal on their own. Their calendar makes all of this happen in 2013, after Obama's second term election. The taxes, the cuts in benefits, the attack on private insurance companies ... it is all timed to happen in that year. Why then? Because they know the outrage across the country as they see this crap implemented will be so great that a Democrat has no chance of reelection.

Remember - to a liberal Democrat, there is no health care reform unless the government is controlling health care.

Once Again, Those Who Know Socialism Best Like Obama

From our Russian friends at Pravda Online comes this op-ed, dated Oct. 19. Why is it those who know socialism when they see it can see Obama as one, and the Obama koolaid drinkers in this country can't?

If you can stomach this diatribe, you will see our 'friends' in Russia, at least some of them, hate us, are predicting our downfall, rejoicing at that downfall, and begging for the return of their beloved communism. They see Obama as an ally in all of those goals.....

America Moving from Kingdom of Cash to Socialism Slowly but Surely

Obama’s decision not to build the Missile Defense System in Poland and the Czech Republic and his Noble Prize have not yet been comprehended from a philosophical viewpoint. It’s time to do it.

Power of Money against Power of Spirit

The last turning point similar to the current one happened approximately 400 years ago. The Western European society discovered a new hierarchy of values. Feudalism that valued service and chivalry was replaced with capitalism. Wealth became the measure of success, and everyone was to care about his own pocket only. The cult of money replaced all other values, including religious.

Capitalism turned everything upside down and made people more excited about stuffing their bank accounts than anything else. This system turned out to be extremely efficient in terms of production of goods, services, and comfort. America benefited from the system the most, and decided that the rest of the world has to adopt it as well. If some underdeveloped countries are unable to appreciate the benefits of capitalism, they should be forced to do it.

Collapse of the Illusion

Meanwhile, philosophers says that capitalism is driven not by hard cash, but rather, striving for hard cash. It’s driven not by the production of goods, but rather, striving for consumption of these goods.

If everyone had these values, the “dog-eat-dog” principal would be the major principal in the world history. But America failed to do it. There are plenty of “underdeveloped” people in the world who continue to cherish spiritual values. There are not that many chances left to force them into worshiping money since these “underdeveloped” people adopt western technology and become stronger. The appeal to adopt American values doesn’t work either. Why would we adopt the system if the system is in crisis? Pragmatic America realized that billions of people are not willing to live in the kingdom of hard cash and decided that it would be better off leaving this kingdom itself. Now the USA is talking about introducing elements of socialism.

What does Obama’s decision not to build the Eastern European Missile Defense System have to do with all of this? Well, it means that it’s not capitalism that’s undergoing the crisis, but the belief in its high efficiency. And this, in turn, means that America, the bulwark of capitalism, is no longer the boss of the world. And if it’s not the boss any more, it has to be friends with everybody, including Russia. And it’s America’s turn to offer Russia to push the reset button. Or maybe it’s just tired of imposing its rules on others and felt that friendship is more valuable than money and power? If this is the case, we will soon witness another turning point in the world history.

Now, I really can't say I see the direct linkage between Obama's chickenshit approach to missile defense and the demise of capitalism. But the underlying message is pretty damn clear ......

Random NFL Thoughts

A few random musings about the NFL, for no particular reason ...

There is too much money being thrown around in the NFL. The Cowboys signed Demarcus Ware, a defensive lineman, to a six year, $78 Million contract yesterday. Demarcus is one of the best linemen in the league, young, and should have a very productive future ... but $78 Million? $40 Million is guaranteed, which means if he blows out a knee on the first play of this coming weekend's game and never plays another down, Jerry Jones will have to pay him that $40 Million. The contract makes him the team's highest paid player, which means Romo and a few others will be wanting to restructure their contracts accordingly.

The Cowboy's top paid players, with guaranteed/signing bonus in paranthesis: Ware, $78,000,000 ($40,000,000); Tony Romo, $67,000,000 ($30,000,000); Terrence Newman, $50,000,000 ($22,500,000); Leonard Davis, $49,000,000 ($18,700,000); Roy Williams, $45,000,000 ($9,000,000); Marion Barber, $45,000,000 ($16,000,000); Flozell Adams, $43,800,000 ($15,000,000); Ken Hamlin, $39,000,000 ($9,000,000); Andre Gurode, $30,000,000 ($10,000,000); Jason Witten, $29,000,000 ($12,000,000); Jay Ratliff, $20,000,000 ($8,000,000); Bradie James, $20,000,000 ($8,000,000) .... A whole lot of money for 12 players, each with an average contract length of six years. Then you have to add up the salaries for the other 41 players on the roster, plus coaches, staff, etc, etc, etc .... the NFL is a rich man's game, for certain.

Jerry World, the Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, cost over $1 Billion. It is a mammoth structure, and an architectural wonder. Is it far more than is necessary to play a football game in - certainly. Is it bigger than Jones' ego - not a chance......

Atlanta's coach, during this past weekend's game against Dallas, called a timeout early in the second half. The purpose - to complain to the referee that the sun was in his quarterback's eyes ... The construction of the new stadium allows sunlight to hit the field from the stadium ends, and this dufus thought it was unfair. I have never seen such a thing - sunlight deemed an unfair advantage for the home team? What a wuss ....

When were quarterbacks deemed off limits to the defense? You can't touch their helmets ... you can't hit them below the knees ... if they slide, you can't touch them ... if they are on their way out of bounds running, you can't touch them ... If you took today's best quarterbacks, like Brady, and teleported them back to the days of Bart Starr, would they still be the best?

Why is it a terrible foul for a defensive player to grab a facemask (15 yard penalty), but perfectly fine for an offensive player with the ball to grab a defender's facemask and use it to push the defender away (called stiffarming) ...?

There have got to be more good players in this country than we see every Sunday. You have 30 teams, with 53 players each. These are supposed to be the absolute best in the country. Yet, how many teams suck, how many players look like inept trash, how few players are considered 'great'? I don't believe that there are so few people who can play the game well at a professional level.

Sam Bradford, OU's Heismann winning quarterback ... could have declared for the NFL draft after his sophmore year, and would have been the top QB chosen - millions of dollars ... however, he goes back to school for his junior year, stating he wants to remain with his teamates and the program. Stand up guy ... Injures his shoulder in the first game this season, reinjured it, and now will have season ending shoulder surgery. He has stated he will declare for the draft, and he hopes he can recover enough to pull down a top draft position. His dedication to his college has probably cost him $10-15,000,000 in starting salary.

It hurts me to see the Washington Redskins doing so poorly this year ... NOT!

I enjoy seeing New Orleans doing so well ... that city has suffered so much, and had such a crappy football team for so long, they deserve something to cheer about.

Voting on Principle ... Good or Bad?

The talk radio waves have been burning up concerning two elections currently underway, and what they mean to national politics. The races are for the 23rdCongressional District of New York, and Governor of New Jersey.

The New York seat is vacant because US Representative John M. McHugh (R-NY) was tapped by President Obama to become the new Secretary fo the Army. A special election is being held to fill the seat for the remainder of Mr. Mchugh's term.

Three people are vying for the position - Bill Owens (D), DeeDee Scozzafava (R), and Doug Hoffman (I). Ms. Scozzaffa is the choice of the State's Republican committee, although most people do not consider her a conservative. Mr. Hoffman, a conservative Republican, is running for the Conservative Party of New York, because the NY GOP wouldn't endorse him. He is seen as a Reagan style Republican. Mr. Owens is expected to be a Pelosi lapdog, who will do as he is told while hoping the DNC will get behind him for the normal election next year.

The firestorm of opinion flowing back and forth is from New Yorkers who must choose between voting for Ms. Scozzaffa, who is seen as not a conservative, and Mr. Hoffman, who has very little chance of winning. Do conservative voters vote for Scozzaffa, who has a good chance of winning, to keep Pelosi from having another vote in her liberal campaign. Or do they vote for their principles, for Hoffman, who has little choice of winning? Do they vote for a Republican, no matter how distasteful, or do they vote to push their point of conservatism?

Much the same story is happening in New Jersey, where incumbent John Corzine (D) is running for re-election against Chris Christie (R) and Christopher Daggett (I). Daggett is seen as the far more conservative of the two challengers. Corzine and Christie are running neck and neck in this race, so votes given to Daggett on principles will have a direct impact upon who gets the governor's office.

It's a tough call for conservative voters - chosing between a conservative and knowing your vote will not bring them to victory (and probably handing victory to the Democrat nominee), or hold your nose and try like heck to get a Republican into the office?

While standing up and voting based upon principles sounds great, supposedly sending a loud message to the Republican Party to put up more conservative candidates, what does it really do?

A bit of history:

How many times have Ralph Nader, Jesse Jackson, and other 'no chance' candidates run for President? Sure, they pull in a relatively few votes, and those who vote for them feel good about having made a protest vote and sending a message, there really is no effect. Those votes are wasted, and the candidates really have no affect on the country's direction.

However, sometimes someone does run as a third party candidate who has a dramatic impact upon the race. How many of you remember that Ross Perot ran as an independent in 1992? His candidacy pulled a lot of protest votes, the vast majority of which were Republican. Those votes lost to President Bush (41) handed a close election to Bill Clinton. How'd that work out for the country? How many remember the voters who voted for their principles as anything but fools?

In the election of 2008, how many Republicans stayed home and didn't vote out of protest that John McCain wasn't conservative enough for their tastes? I like and respect Rush Limbaugh, but how many people took his advice early in the campaign and didn't vote, in order to send a message to the Republican Party that it wasn't conservative enough? Well, how'd that work out? We got Obama, and the GOP thinks it must move even further to the left as a result ....

To the voters of NY and NJ - if you don't like the direction of our country, vote for the Republican candidate. Even if they aren't conservative enough for you! Having someone in office with a R next to their name is important. It is better to have someone in office who will vote for conservative/Republican standpoints most of the time, than someone who will vote for Democrat standpoints 100% of the time. In the shortterm, no one is paying attention to protest votes. In the longterm, no one remembers such votes as anything but silly.

Update - Boy, I am going to eat crow on this one, it seems, and I am happy to do so. In the NY 23rd race, all of the national attention on it and the expose' of Scozzaffa as a Democrat in Republican clothing has spurred Hoffman's campaign. Polls yesterday (Oct. 30) showed Owens at 36%, Hoffman at 35%, and Scozzaffa at 20%. Scozzaffa today suspended her campaign, citing the poll results, and released her committed voters to go to Hoffman. Not exactly an endorsement, which would have been appropriate, but much better than not saying anything or endorsing Owens. If her supporters do indeed go to Hoffman, the race should not even be close.

This race should really open the national GOP's eyes. They've been trying to move the party and its candidates into Democrat Lite, thinking that they have to do this to regain power. Well, here's a BIG slapdown for Democrat Lite - conservatives far outnumber moderates, and far outnumber liberals - the GOP needs to pay attention, and get back to its conservative principles. That is how it will regain power, and it will do so quickly. Even if Hoffman loses to Owens, it will be clear to all who bother to look that Democrat Lite DOES NOT WORK.

In the NJ Governor's race, polls show a dead heat.

Another race I didn't mention was for Virginia's Governor, where the Republican candidate was leading the incumbent Democrat by about 15 points int he latest poll, even after Obama endorsed and campaigned for the Democrat.

The elections are this coming Tuesday - will be interesting to see the results.

Update II - Well, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE.....Scozzaffa, the official Republican candidate, on Sunday endorsed Owens, the Democrat candiate. So, the Democrat Lite comes out and endorses an actual Democrat instead of a conservative Republican (Hoffman). The DNC, realizing that this race is being watched by the entire nation, can't allow a negative statement to be made about Obama's administration, and can't risk having the Congressional tide turned against them. It will be very interesting to find out what the DNC, NY's Democrat Governor, and Pelosi promises this turncoat to get her endorsement.

It will also be interesting to see if she tries to call back her committed voters and steer them towards Owens, after she had already released them to Hoffman. I'll bet you that will happen on Monday .... followed shortly by a triumphant announcement that she's officially joining the Democrat party.

Update III - Well, Hoffman did not win the election - he lost to Owens by 4 points. However, this should be an incredible encouragement to conservatives in the GOP. Hoffman was campainged against by both Democrats and Republicans until a week before the election. The Republican he was runing against droped out of the race and endorsed the Democrat, rather than the Conservative. The state and national GOP officials poured over $900,000 into trying to elect Scozzaffa, and not a thing to Hoffman. Hoffman is not a politican - he is an acocuntant who saw a need for a Conservative to be elected. The fact he drew so many votes and came so close to winning is an incredible statement on the power of Conservatism, and the need for the GOP to return to its Conservative roots and drop this 'moderate, Democrat Lite' B.S.

Pile that on top of winning governor seats in Virginia and New Jersey, and it was a great day for Conservatism and the Republican Party. This bodes very well for the 2010 mid-term elections.

Dallas' Pro Football Team Kicks Butt

Dallas' professional football team is undefeated this season. They have demolished their competition, outscoring them 84-24. They beat Denver 20-6, San Diego 40-6, and Los Angeles 24-12.

With one game left before the post season starts, there is serious talk of the team bringing another professional sports championship to Dallas.

OK .... I'm not talking about the Dallas Cowboys.... I'm talking about the Dallas Desire ......

One of 10 teams in the LFL ... Lingerie Football League ... yes, I know everyone saw the old ESPN commercials about scantily clad women playing football in the rain, but there is actually a league, they play real games, and from the few highlights I looked at on their web site http://www.lflus.com/ they really do hit.

The games are broadcast on pay per view for 7.95 each. Before all you ladies jump all over me about this, I did no research on this, and I have not watched any games - I heard about it on a local sports talk radio show, and thought it'd be good for a laugh.

Dick Cheney B*tch Slaps Obama

Vice President Dick Cheney, speaking at a Washington dinner where he received an award last night (Oct. 21), takes Obama to task on a number of subjects, but primarily on his lack of support for our troops, and his weakness in foreign policy matters.

This is a long cut, but well worth the listen. Mr. Cheney is right on the money, calling an Obama an Obama.

Where in the World is Hillary Clinton?

Anyone else out there have any idea what our esteemed Secretary of State is up to, or where in the world she is? With the Obama Regime's raging need to suck up to every dictator and bad guy in the world, you would think she'd be front and center in the news on a daily basis. I guess they're still pissed that she dared to oppose him for the Democrat nomination, and keeping such a publicity junkie out of the limelight is probably the greatest punishment they could force on her.
Update - Now then ... I don't want to give anyone the impression that I really care about Hillary ... quite the contrary. I just find it amusing to see all of the infighting inside the Democrat Party between Obama's far left wing kook base and the more moderate folks.

Yes Sir, We Certainly Do

Bo Knows...

Meet Bo Snerdly (which I am sure is his stage name). He works for Rush Limbaugh, and serves as Rush's Official Obama Criticizer. Occasionally Rush put him on the radio, and the results are to the point, and pretty funny. Here is his take on the recent NFL debacle on Rush's bid to become a part owner of the Rams ....

Here are a couple more of his past diatribes ....

This Person is in the White House?

Meet Anita Dunn, Obama's Director of Communications. She is the lead in the White House's current efforts to attack Fox News, calling it, among other things, 'the research arm of the Republican Party'.

Originally announced in April as an interim appointment of no more than 90 days, she has managed to not only stay on, but become the coordinator of Obama's control of what the media reports. She has openly stated on multiple occasions that the Obama administration manipulates the media, and that media reports what they want it to (except for Fox).

Take a look at this video, and see for yourself who this woman is, what she believes. See what she encourages our youth to believe ....

Gee ... I feel so much better knowing that one of Obama's right hand cronies holds a devout Communist, one of this nation's greatest enemies, in such high esteem ....

Does Anyone in Their Right Mind Think These People Can be Negotiated With?

Somalia has been and remains a very dangerous place. Since the US and the UN abandoned it in 1993 after the 'Blackhawk Down' debacle, it has been a lawless haven for criminals, thugs, thieves, and Islamic militants. Many of the terrorists our troops are fighting have been trained in camps in Somalia. Pirate bands operate freely out of Somali ports. The general population of Somalia is suffering under a brutally imposed brand of strict Sharia law.

The Times of India reports that women on Somali streets are being rounded up by masked men, marched to public locations, stripped and whipped. The reason - they are wearing bras. The excuse - wearing a bra is being deceptive towards men. Somalis, foreigners, it doesn't matter - anyone on the street is fair game.

The women are then made to show their whip marks, and shake their breasts to prove that they are real/natural.

This is done in the name of Islam. What it really is - a bunch of sadistic perverts getting off on beating and humiliating women.

Movies, music, musical ringtones on cellphones, dancing in any form, even soccer have all been banned, along with many other parts of everyday life we would take for granted.

Brutal, harsh, uncompromising, evil .... this core of beliefs, pushed by a small minority of thugs who enjoy imposing their will on others, who enjoy making others suffer, who enjoy controlling others - that is what we are up against. We, as a nation, cannot forget that.

The United States, in particular the Clinton Administration, tried to deal with Somalia in a half assed manner in the early '90s. What resulted was the battle we've come to know under the 'Blackhawk Down' banner, where American forces heroically fought thousands of Somalis in the streets of Mogadishu. 19 Americans died in the battle. The root cause? The Clinton Administration's insistance on treating these people like criminals, not enemies, and then not giving our forces adequate support to carry out the mission they had been given. Sound familiar? America retreated after getting our noses bloodied, and the place has been a festering hotbed for our enemies ever since. Sooner or later, it is going to have to be dealt with.

Holy S**t ... The Stars Need to Sign This Kid

Courtesy of Boston Bruins TV comes this video of a 9 year old hockey player shot during a mini-one on one tournament. Watch as he scores on this penalty shot breakaway ...

Awesome ....

Mr. Obama, I Have A Question

Actually, a couple of them, but about the same subject. Not that I expect you to see or answer, but I'm going to ask anyway ....

Mr. Obama, your words and actions indicate that you believe the government is far better qualified to determine the course and details of our lives than we, as individuals, are. Given that ...

Welfare payments are made to millions of people across the US. The payments are made in the form of checks, which are made out to and supposed to be cashed by the individual for which they are dispersed to. The money is intended to help those folks with their daily expenses until they can find a job. It is not intended to be their sole source of income, and it is not intended to replace the need for having a job. Welfare is intended to be temporary aid.

Question 1: Why does the federal government allow people to live indefinitely off of welfare? Why are there millions of people who believe that welfare is actually the government paying them not to work?

Question 2: Why does the government write checks to individuals, instead of some other method that would allow some control over what the money is used for? Why does the government allow welfare recipients to use our tax dollars to pay for cigarettes, alcohol, gambling, illegal drugs, etc?

Question 3: Why does the government reward (with additional payments) mothers on welfare who have children while they are on welfare? Seems to me that the Democrat Party, who champions the right of a woman to have an abortion for any reason, would have no problem telling welfare moms that they will not receive more money if they have kids while receiving welfare assistance?

Seems to me that welfare reform that would 1) limit the time period that someone could receive welfare payments (much like unemployment assistance), 2) distribute vouchers for specific products or services instead of cash, and 3) eliminate the financial incentive to have more kids while on welfare ... would cut way down on welfare fraud, give incentives to folks on welfare to seek employment, cut down on the number of kids born to poor, unwed mothers, and cut down on the federal deficit.

Now, to those of you who think I am a racist for this - NO, I am not. Welfare has no color - folks of all colors and backgrounds are on the welfare roles.

For those of you who think I am slamming those on welfare - NO, I am not. Our welfare system has created a trap in which many people have no incentive to get off of welfare. However, folks who misuse welfare money for their habits, whether legal or illegal, are wasting my tax dollars and misusing the money - I make an exception, I AM slamming them.

For those of you who think I am slamming unwed mothers, NO, I am not. I AM slamming those who either do not care that they are bringing children into the world that they cannot support or care for, or who are having kids for the sole purpose of collecting additional money from the government.

Mr. Obama, I do not blame you for the state of welfare. But, since you are the self appointed champion of the poor and middle classes, it would seem to me that you would be leading the fight to reform welfare, make it workable, and get people off of it. So far, I have seen no such effort.

So, Mr. Obama, can you answer the questions?

These People Ought To Be Arrested For Theft

Who??? The United States Senate ....

Senators diverted $2.6 Billion from the recently passed Defense spending bill to pork projects. The money was pulled out of the Pentagon's Operations and Maintenance accounts - money used to pay for fuel, ammunition, troop supplies, etc.

Pork projects such as $20 million to fund an educational institute named for Sen Ted Kennedy (sponsored by Sen Inouye D-HI and Sen Kerry D-MA), $25 million for a WWII Museum at the University of New Orleans (Sen Landrieu D-LA and Sen Vitter R-LA), $20 million for the Maui Space Surveillance System (Sen Inouye D-HI), $25 Million for the Hawaii Federal Health Care Network (Sen Inouye D-HI) ... and a whole lot more.

Top Democrat porker is Senator Daniel Inouye (D-HI), 36 earmarks totalling $206 million stolen from the troops. Top Republican porker is Senator Thad Conchran (R-MS), with 48 earmarks at $216 milion. This is one exercise in bi-partisanship that we can definitely do without.

These elected officials stole tax money designated for our troops in order to buy votes in their own states. Pork is a time dis-honored fact of Washington, but at the expense of our troops in the field? It's criminal, and I think they ought to be prosecuted for theft.

To be fair to the Obama Administration, the White House Office of Management and Budget has called for the repeal of all of the pork earmarks. Good for them.

This Woman is an Absolute Idiot

Meet Jennifer Granholm, the Democrat Governor of Michigan. This lunatic has taken her state to the brink of insolvency. She has presided over the largest loss of jobs perhaps suffered by any state. Her tax and anti-business policies have driven business as a whole in Michigan to the brink of failure.

According to projections, job loss in Michigan for the past 12 months and the upcoming 14 months will top over 1 million. That's 1 million people in that state who have or will lose their job, due in great part to Democrat policies that have ruined the auto industry and taxed other industries into bankruptcy. The unemployment rate in Michigan hit 15% in August, and it is going to get much worse.

Ms. Granholm is touting her 'green jobs' push, an effort that will redirect Michigan's work force from auto based to green technology based. This massive effort on her part will result, according to her own projections, to the addition of 40,000 jobs by 2020. She is quite proud of this effort - all you have to do is ask her, or take a look at her self-promoting website,
http://www.jennifergranholm.com/.

Let's do the math - 1,000,000 lost over a two year period. 40,000 projected to be gained over 11 years. Hmmmm.... makes sense when added up on a Democrat calculator, I suppose.

I sincerely hope that Michiganders wake up and bounce this dunce out of office. The auto unions have been protecting her by instructing their members to block vote Democrat - and now their membership has paid the price. Hopefully they will see what has happened, who is responsible, and boot them out of the door, instead of listening to the Jimmy Hoffa wannabes....

Here is Steve Wynn, owner of the Wynn Hotel and Casino Group, giving her the smackdown on Fox News recently. Notice that while he is armed with facts directly from his experience as a businessman, she only has a short list of Democrat talking points that have absolutely nothing to do with her state's predicament. An instructive conversation....

Sick, Sick, Sick

There are truly some sick, perverted people running around out there ....

Fox News reports that a man named John Forehand used Facebook to propostion his own daughter for sex. It wasn't by accident, he knew exactly who she was, and apparently was very explicit in what he wanted to do. He was arrested when he showed up at a pre-arranged location to meet her. Officers siezed a camera, tripod, tapes, and condoms from his vehicle.

He was busted along with 4 other men who were using Facebook to solicit underage girls in Pennsylvania.

It is hard for me to imagine such sickness in our society. The only comfort I find in it is realizing what is going to happen to these bastards when they get to prison - the population generally doesn't care for child molesters very much.

Nobel Peace Prize? WTF?

Obama the Immaculate was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize today. This do nothing stuffed suit was awarded the prize because he is just that - a do nothing that bends over for everyone on the planet except for his own citizens.

Here is the full text of the Nobel Committee's statement, released today:

"The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples. The Committee has attached special importance to Obama's vision of and work for a world without nuclear weapons.

Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts. The vision of a world free from nuclear arms has powerfully stimulated disarmament and arms control negotiations. Thanks to Obama's initiative, the USA is now playing a more constructive role in meeting the great climatic challenges the world is confronting. Democracy and human rights are to be strengthened.

Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future. His diplomacy is founded in the concept that those who are to lead the world must do so on the basis of values and attitudes that are shared by the majority of the world's population.

For 108 years, the Norwegian Nobel Committee has sought to stimulate precisely that international policy and those attitudes for which Obama is now the world's leading spokesman. The Committee endorses Obama's appeal that "Now is the time for all of us to take our share of responsibility for a global response to global challenges."

Now, before everyone blows a gasket, you have to realize where this came from. The folks at Nobel, and the Norwegian people as a whole, love Obama. They loved Bill Clinton, thought he was the greatest President our country ever had. These are the same folks who gave the Peace Prize to former Weasel in Chief and devout anti-Semite Jimmy Carter. If you read the above carefully, He was given the award not because of anything He has done, but because of His pretty speeches.

What a load of bullshit ....

A Day of Reckoning is Coming

Folks, I really hope I'm wrong on this, but I don't think so.....

This country is headed for a financial day of reckoning. I don't know when, but a guess is 18-24 months from now.

Why?

1) Obama and the Democrat controlled Federal Government are spending money at an unsustainable rate. Our deficit this year is projected to be $1.4 Trillion. That means we will spend $1.4 trillion more dollars this year than we take in in taxes and other revenue. That is just THIS YEAR. It will only get larger next year, and the year after that, and so on - as long as the Dems continue passing out hundreds of billions of dollars that we don't have, the debt is going to soar.

The public is getting numb to this. It used to be that figures in the 10s of millions of dollars caught our eyes. Now, the numbers are so large that they are just abstract - a trillion dollars to the average citizen means nothing - it is beyond comprehension.

The Democrats crucified the Bush Administration for doubling the deficit during his 8 years in office. They made it a principle point during the elections of 2006 and 2008. Fair enough, spending was way too much. However, the same people who were yelling the loudest about it are now completely silent on what Obama is doing. The Immaculate and his cronies have tripled the deficit they inherited from President Bush, and it only took 9 months.

2) Our national debt (which now is around $10 Trillion) is held in large part by foreign governments who purchase the debt with the commitment from our government that they will be paid back, plus interest. China and India are the biggest debt holders. This debt comes up for renewal every so often. If China, for example, decides not to renew their debt holdings, and demands to cash them in, there isn't enough money printed in the entire US to pay them off - and there would be nothing technically wrong with them doing that. China holds the key to our financial future. They have leverage over us that is far more powerful than any nuclear weapon.

If we were required to pay off what we curently owe in our national debt, it would cost us about $33,333 for every man, woman, and child in the US (including illegal aliens).

3) The US Government is printing money as fast as it can shove it out of the presses. There is no underlying wealth to support that money. This creates inflation, and devaluation of the Dollar. The Dollar is close to its weakest point against foreign currencies as it has ever been, and there is absolutely nothing that will prevent it from falling further given the current direction of our government.

This makes your money worth less. If you have $100 in the bank today, a year from now, you will still have that $100, but it may only purchase $80 worth of goods compared to today.

This makes investment in the US, particularly government debt, less attractive to foreign investors and governments. They will demand higher interest payments for them to pick up the debt. This will in turn drive the debt up even further.

This is why gold has soared to the level now seen, and why you see so many companies trying to get you to buy gold. Gold holds its value on the open market much more than printed currency (the Dollar).

4) Commercial Real Estate's bubble bust hasn't happened yet. We all know that the residential real estate market pretty much collapsed - property values have dropped, in some areas by a whole lot. This caused a lot of loan defaults and foreclosures, and a lot of financial suffering by lending institutions that were stuck holding bad loans. Well, the commercial side of that debacle hasn't happened yet. Experts I've heard on talk shows, and seen in print are predicting that the commercial bubble burst will make the residential one look very tame. The time frames I've heard on this are 12-24 months from now.

5) The Government doesn't have a magic reset button. There is no way for Obama, or anyone else, just to stand up one day and say everything is all better, all debt is gone, lets start over. It doesn't work that way, but the idiots in Washington seem to be counting on that to happen to bail us all out someday.

6) The Democrats do not understand that when they increase taxes, they reduce the amount of money the government takes in. It has been proven time and time again that if the government lowers taxes on citizens and business, that promotes growth, which generates more revenue for the government even though tax rates are lower. Tax cuts result in more revenue for the government and its citizens - that is a proven fact. For some reason, they just don't understand this, and their constant effort to raise taxes is actually putting the government farther into the deficit hole.

7) The far left, from which Obama comes from and is guided by, believe in socialism. They believe that wealth should be distributed evenly, to be fair to everyone. This has failed in every country it has been tried in, except for the most brutal of dictatorships. He even stated it in his campaign - redistribution of wealth. Folks, that means taking from the rich and giving to the poor.

The problem is, his definition of rich keeps changing. During his campaign, he initially said he though anyone making over $250K was rich. Later in the campaign, I heard him say $200K, and later on he let slip $150K. Where will it stop? Where will the have/have not line end up being drawn? He and the far left want to take your money from you, and then they will decide who deserves to have it and how much.

The historical precedent for this is clear - everywhere socialism and communism have been tried, the result is the population (except for the elite ruling class - who are writing the rules) is drug down to the lowest common denominator. In other words, everyone becomes poor. The lower economic class folks, the ones Obama is pandering to, want Him to take from the rich and give to them. What they don't realize that he's only going to take from the rich - they aren't going to get any of it. The lower economic class isn't going to see their situation get any better.

All of this, to me, points to a collapse of our financial system, and perhaps our government. There have long been comparisons of the USA and the Roman Empire - comparisons of how the mighty rulers of the world fall. Could this be happening to us as we speak? Lord, I hope not, but none of the signs are encouraging.

Frightening ....

I would like to say I am hopeful, but everything the Government is doing is pushing us to this, and very few (no one with any power) are standing up and saying NO!

Global Warming Scam Gone Mad

Japan's All Nippon Airlines (ANA) has started a 1 month trial program where uniformed representatives located at the gate will ask all passengers boarding the flight to go to the bathroom to relieve themselves before being allowed on the plane.

The stated goal of this is to reduce the flight's carbon footprint by lightening the load. The airline figures that if 150 people are on the flight, and everyone is filled up with pee, this could lighten the takeoff weight of the aircraft by 64 kilograms. This will means the flight uses slightly less fuel. The airline stated they expect a five ton reduction in carbon emissions over the one month test period.

I'm sorry, but if someone in an airline uniform (or anyone else except my doctor) walks up to me and tells me I have to go to the bathroom for them, I'll probably whip it out and piss on their leg right there.

This is eco-nazism at its worst. I cannot believe that an airline actualy thinks they're helping the world by doing this. Algore must own their stock.

BTW, this is real, not another one of those stupid Japanese game shows gone mad ....

FTC to Begin Regulating Blog Contents

The FTC will begin, as of Dec. 1, 2009, to regulate the contents of Blogs posted on the internet. 16CFR Part 255 is the exact legislation in question, titled "Guidelines Concerning Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising".

This regulation is targeted at blogs and other forms of internet advertising that publish product endorsements or testimonials. The regulation states, in a nutshell, that anyone publishing such endorsements or testimonials must disclose if they received free product or other compensation for providing/publishing those endoresements or testimonials. The goal is to force disclosure by folks who are paid or otherwise compensated for saying good things about products on their blogs. There are financial penalties for violations.

OK .....

In essence, I don't have a problem with that. There are all manner of web sites/blogs out there who publish phony product reviews while getting paid to do so. Folks see those reviews, buy the product, and get screwed, without knowing that the reviews were phony to start with. It's a problem.

However, it is also troublesome. This is the first step I know of by the US Government to regulate internet content. If this regulation was the end of it, I wouldn't have a problem. However, when has government ever been satisfied with making one small step? Always, ALWAYS, they followup with more regulation, expanding their scope and power. With the bunch that is in Washington now, I wouldn't be at all surprised if an expanded effort, perhaps based on the 'Fairness Doctrine', begins to be discussed. Once the precedent of regulation is established ......

For All You Lipstick Wearers Out There

For all of you folks who wear lipstick out there (note that I did not say women ... I admit that there are a few men who do it as well ...)

One of life's simple pleasures is to go out to the local diner for breakfast. Most of us do this on the weekend, but some during the week as well.

There is nothing quite like the sensation experienced when you (half asleep) look down at the coffee cup you've been slurping from and notice purplish red lipstick all over the rim. Knowing that you personally did not apply that shade that morning, you realize that this is leftover from someone else's mouth. You see, commercial dishwashers tend to not clean off lipstick - it's base elements resist cleaning unless wiped away manually - and lazy dishwashers typically don't go to the trouble.

Stop this inhumanity! If you are going out for coffee or breakfast, don't apply your lipstick until after you are finished eating!

IOC Puts the Smackdown on Obama

Sorry, this post is a little late - I know almost everyone already knows about this and all the comments around it. I was on the way to the airport when I heard the vote announcement on the radio, and I wasn't able to get to a computer all weekend.

I cheered when I heard the result of the first round of voting, where Chicago got bounced int he first round with a very small vote total (18). Not that I didn't want Chicago to get the 2016 Games - I really didn't care one way or another. I cheered because fo the underlying meaning of the vote, and the bitch slapping the IOC had just given to the Obamas.

The arrogance and ego of the Obamas was on prime display last week. These two took off to Europe, seperately, determined that they were going to singlehandedly bring back the Olympics to their hometown. Between those two and their lap dog Oprah, they really thought that their 'rockstar' status in the world would save the day, and they'd be heroes. I don't think that any of the three even considered the possibility that Chicago's bid would fail - much less come in dead last. In their minds, it wasn't Chicago up for the games - it was them.

This is a teachable moment - about how the rest of the world really feels about Obama. Face it - much of the rest of the world loves having him in power because he is no threat to them - he's a left wing wuss in the world of international politics, more concerned about how he is perceived than how the country is perceived. When it comes time to deliver on international issues, be it nuclear issues with Iran or the selection of the 2016 Olympics site, he can't do it - no one takes him seriously. I can just imagine the laughter behind the scenes after he showed up for his presentation and gave them a sob story of how hard his upbringing was. I didn't hear it, but the reviews of his presentation I have heard said it was, at best, a boring ego laced diatribe that had almost nothing to do with the Games.

The little I've heard about the White House's response so far seems to indicate they are blaming it on backlash against our standing in the world from past sins (The Bush Administration). Leave it to this pack of idiots - you just knew that they'd blame Bush. They are incapable of realizing what the real reasons were - Chicago had the fourth best bid, and his Obama The Immaculate act doesn't count for anything of substance.

As a taxpayer, I think we are entitled to know how much of our money was wasted on this folly. The First Witch flew over on a C-32 (757 airliner), with full crew, Secret Service presence, and her support staff (including hair dresser). The Immaculate flew over in a VC-25 (747), along with the backup VC-25, and all the Secret Service, military, and support personnel that go along with a Presidential trip. How many millions of dollars did this ego trip cost us?
