This Man Wants Your Money, Part Deaux


Timothy Geithner's pick to be his top deputy pulled out of consideration. No official reason was given, but some internet sources cite finiancial 'irregularities', though not necessarily tax related.


The top 17 posts in the Treasury underneath Mr. Geithner are vacant. There are no nominees for those posts, much less anyone confirmed. In the midst of the biggest financial crisis this country has known, this guy is trying to do it all on his own. I see internet reports that departments in the Treasury are paralyzed because they are receiving no direction from the empty offices they report to.


This is so pathetic that even Democrats in Congress are complaining that no one from the Treasury is available to appear in front of their useless comittee show trials.
