Geithner Lets Out the Dirty Little Secret

On Sunday, Obama's Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner told America that tax increases on the middle class are almost a certainty. Speaking on ABC's "This Week", he was asked whether it was right to suggest it was a matter of when, not if, taxes will be raised, Geithner responded "It is abolutely right."

On CBS' Face the Nation, National Economic Council President Larry Summers also refused to rule out future tax increases ont he middle class.

So, we have two of Obama's cronies telling us the truth on national TV.

Obama's Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, was out in full force first thing Monday morning, retracting Geithner and Summers' comments, dismissing them as part of a 'hypothetical back and forth', whatever the hell that means.

"Promising that everybody's going to be on message may be a bar that's too high for me to leap over." - Robert Gibbs, 8/3/09

Obama has already enacted 6 programs that increase taxes on those who earn under $250K per year. His own people are getting tired of lying to us. Why can't this jerk just come out and tell us what he's doing? Answer - because we wouldn't stand for it.

I'm sorry, but is Gibbs not the PERFECT definition of a putz? If you were ever confused over that word, just look at him and listen to him and it will become self-explanatory.

I wouldn't have his job for anything.
