Cheney, or Gibbs?

Vice President Dick Cheney yesterday blasted the Obama Administration with both barrels on their incompetent handling of security matters, the GWOT, and their decision to investigate and prosecute members of the CIA and the Bush Administration.

"It's an outrageous political act that will do great damage, long-term, to our capacity to be able to have people take on difficult jobs, make difficult decisions, without having to worry about what the next administration is going to say." - Vice President Dick Cheney, Aug. 30

Robert Gibbs, Obama's so called press secretary, fired back like a limp noodle today -

"This is the same song and dance we've heard since literally the first day of our administration. The Vice President ... clearly had his facts on a number of things wrong."
- Robert Gibbs, Aug. 31

Gibbs declined to enumerate any specific facts that the Vice President had clearly gotten wrong. Hey Mr. Gibbs - you've heard it since Day One because you've been wrong since Day One ....

Now, I will not jump in on what I think of the subject matter - that is pretty evident. But, I ask you, who would you put your belief in:

A man who was a key member of the team that kept our country safe from attack for over 7 years in the aftermath of 9/11:
Or a 'man' who has never served his country in any capacity, one whose command of his position has earned him the mantra among the Washington Press Corps as the 'worst press secretary in history', one whose wit and wisdom can't help him escape out of a wet paper bag:

Which of these two men would you call to service if you knew the country was in danger? 'Nuff said .....

I've said before that Gibbs is just the worst I've seen.

If he at least had some sort of commanding presence or an air of knowing what he's talking -- maybe that would help.

Instead he projects fumbling, bumbling, not a true grasp of what's going on.

It sure is fun watching poor old Dick Cheney stumbling all over the right wing airwaves, desperately trying to poison the jury pool and dodge a VERY long stretch in a federal prison. I only saw clips of his "interview" with Chris Wallace on FOX Noise on Sunday. Someone described it as a starry-eyed teenage girl interviewing one of the Jonas brothers.

It sure is funny observing the meltdown of Dick and Liz (Cheney - not Burton and Taylor). The trillion dollar hammer is about to hit the fan. They're like cornered rats. Oh, man! I'm lovin' this!

Don't take your eye off the Cheneys. For your best entertainment bargain, these two are the show that should not be missed. We're talking essential viewing here!

Tom, with all respect due to a fellow blogger, you're out of your friggin' left wing blinded mind.

Dick Cheney was one of the most effective, most productive, and most respected Vice Presidents this country has ever had. The left hates him because of that. Haliburton this, Haliburton that ... Why aren't you complaining about George Soros and all the money he earns from the oil industry?

I guess you'd be happier if we had a VP who was more in the line of Algore ... a useless oxygen thief.

Really can't compare the two - I have the ultimate respect for VP Cheney and am tremendously grateful (having had four children under the age of 10 at the time of 9-11) that the administration did WHATEVER it took to keep this country safe. As far as a debate on the treatment of terrorists - spare me.

Regarding poor old Gibbs - it is impossible to make sense of anything that anybody is doing in Washington these days - he starts his job with a major handicap from the get go.
