Commie-In-Chief, Part Deaux

Obama the Immaculate is visiting Ft. Hood this afternoon for a memorial service for the troops and civilians killed and wounded in last Thursday's ambush. He is taking a whole hour out of his incredibly busy schedule to bless the victims with his presence.

The White House has been asked why he is not spending more time at the post. I haven't seen any answer from them. We all know he is incredibly busy making campaign stops for his lap dogs, fund raising events for every left wing kook in the Democrat Party, and intense phone attacks on wavering Democrats about Obamacare (and one lone Republican traitor from Louisiana). God help anything that might interfere with such important duties.

We've already been told he has asked for and received permission from the families of the victims to visit with them and offer his sympathies. Let's see - a hour on base, about 45 families of the dead and wounded, and his speech at the memorial service .... I'm sure he will spend a great deal of time comforting those affected (what, about 15 seconds for each family?), and it will be thoroughly documented by the mainstream media to show us how much he cares.

Jackass ..... He could spend a week there and it wouldn't be sufficient. An hour??????

This is even worse than his photo op grandstanding at Dover AFB a couple of weeks ago, where he visited for a few minutes to have his picture taken with coffins of our fallen being offloaded from a C-17. He dishonored those heroes just so he could have his picture taken - did anyone notice how perfectly the released photo was staged?

Compare this to President Bush, and the numerous times he visited with wounded soldiers, and the families of those killed and wounded - all of which were done in private - no reporters or cameras allowed. He did it out of actual respect from the Commander In Chief to his troops - not a damned photo op. how many news agencies have reported that President and Mrs. Bush visited the wounded at Ft. Hood and Killeen last Friday night to offer their sympathy and show their support? No reporters, no cameras, done just because it was the right thing to do.

hey - been worried about you- you been quiet all week. Ft. Hood incident was just horrible. But you are right - i can't post what i just screamed at the TV set as our idiot president arrived at Ft. Hood - had to turn it off. However I was really glad to hear that President and Mrs. Bush made it there earlier in the week. As far as I can tell, the USA has no real commander-in-chief. Glad you are still around and irritated :)

Was off for the weekend, doing the airshow thing with my cousin and a bunch of warbirds .... a whole lot of fun crawling around WWII aircraft, listening to all the old stories, and watching fighter pilots drink themselves silly (after the show, obviously).

I'll post some pics over on the military side of the site when I get them back from processing.

I was driving down I-35 while the ambush at Hood was happening. For those of you not fam with TX, I-35 runs down from Dallas through Austin to San Antonio (my destination). Ft. Hood is about halfway, near Killeen. The radio had just started reporting it when I started south. I had been passed by innumerable news crews, police cars of various venues, FBI folks, and what not before I reached Killeen. The most ludicrous thing I saw was just north of Austin, where I ran into a TX DPS (highway patrol) armored car, complete with red and blue flashing lights, and two command post vehicles heading north - four hours after the mess had ended. What those clowns were going to do, I have no idea. An unarmed armoured car, on an Army post packed with tanks?????
