alGore Is A (Business) Genius

alGore is a genius.

Those of you who follow this blog might think that statement must be dripping in sarcasm.  It isn't. 

Gore is a business genius, that's all there is to it.  Mega-super-uber RICH.  So much money that no one really knows his true worth.

Gore has identified a gullible target market, one that will buy anything he tries to sell them - far left eco-kooks.  He makes millions per year for speaking engagements around the world, where he spouts out his tired, old Inconvenient Bullshit speech over and over.

He makes millions investing in 'green' technology companies, lobbying the government for subsidies, grants, and loan guarantees, and then sells out before they collapse.

His latest venture, Current TV, defies description.  Supposedly a competitor to Fox News, this unintelligible mess has a viewing audience of about 3.  The vast majority of people in this country, liberals included, don't know it even exists.

Current TV was never a serious venture.  It was an investment.  alGore lends his name to it, and then he and his other investors sell it off for big bucks profit.  Kind of like Bain Capital ... Current TV was never about getting out the liberal message - it was always about making a quick pile of money.

Everyone knows by now he sold out to al Jazeera, the Qatar based Islamic 'news' channel.  Long recognized as a mouthpiece for radical Islam and anti-semitism, it has wanted a legitimate foothold in North America.  Gore made $100 million personally in the deal.

Conservatives hate Gore, for multiple reasons.  Liberals, especially his far left kook base, should be hating him as well:

1)  Gore sold out to Qatar, who gets all of their money from OIL.  Dirty, dispicable OIL.  Gore got RICHER from evil OIL.

2)  Gore tried very hard to complete the deal before Jan.1, in order to avoid Obama's tax hikes.  Smart businesswise, but so very capitalistic - and EVIL.  (He failed, the deal signed on Jan.3)

3)  According to the new Obama rich tax rates, Gore should be sending a check for $39.6 million dollars to the government immediately - just for his personal portion of the profit.  I encourage all liberals to keep track of this, and demand from Gore proof that he indeed sends all of this sum to the government - after all, he is RICH, and he should be volunteering to pay his FAIR share, shouldn't he?

4)  alGore is just plain RICH, even without the Current TV deal.  Where are his tax returns for the last 10 years?  How much has he been giving to the government and charity per year?

5)  I was really looking forward to seeing Jennifer Granholm, ex-disgraced Michigan disaster of a Governor and current prime time Current TV host (did you know that?  No one else does either, so don't feel bad...) dressed from head to toe in a burqha.  It would have been hilarious to see her dissed like that.  Unfortunately, Granholm has announced she is leaving the network in the wake of the sale.  I would imagine a lot of other employees will be looking for work, either by choice or by firing.  So, there's reason 5 to hate alGore - he cost people their jobs, allowing them to be outsourced overseas (sound like Bain Capital???).

6)  Gore makes his millions by providing services and products specifically tailored to his target market.  He shovels bullshit into the mouths of stupid, naive idiots, and they love him for it.

7)  Have I mentioned that Gore is RICH, stupidly, filthy, capitalistically RICH.

alGore should be a poster child for the 1%.  He is the epitome of a RICH, white guy success story.

Wind Is Going To Save The Post Office?

This is unbelievable.  US Senator Tom Carper (D-DE) on the floor of the Senate discussing how he thinks wind energy could save the United States Post Office. 

The idiocy of this is amazing.  The fact that a US Senator is spewing out this crap with a straight face is an amazing indictment of the left's addiction to green this and green that - in spite of all the empirical evidence to the contrary.

I Hope The Eco-Nazis Don't Find Out About This

I honestly see the Obama Administration coming out and championing this as a solution to global warming, climate change, alternative energy, save the whales, save the polar bears, save the ... whatever.

I mean, wouldn't this be a perfect solution for the Missus O and her campaign to take over lunch menus? Kids don't like pink slime, but they'd love crap burgers! I can see them being branded Big O Macs. Delicious, and it will save the planet!

The Japanese company doing this research should expect to receive billions of dollars from Obama for the promise of this green (er, maybe brown) technology.

Jobless Number Shell Game - Updated

January's unemployment numbers are out, and Obama is claiming credit for an incredible decrease of the unemployment rate to 8.3%

According to Obama's Labor Department, about 225,000 jobs were added in January.

Also, slightly less than 800,000 NEW unemployment claims were filed during the month.

People who lost their jobs outnumbered people who found a job by almost 4 to 1 in January.

Yet, the unemployment rate dropped from 8.5 to 8.3. WTF?

WTF is just more lying by Obama. The unemployment rate is going down because he keeps redefining what 'unemployed' means.

According to Obama's numbers, there were 2.5 million fewer people defined as being in the work force in January than there were in December. That's how you get a decrease in the unemployment rate while job loss is still far outpacing job creation. Who are those 2.5 million people, and why are they suddenly not part of the labor force?

If you use the unemployment rate calculation that was in place when Obama took office and applied it to today's statistics, you would have an unemployment rate of well over 10%.

Obama and his cronies are just flat assed lying to us. It will continue. Their target is to get unemployment to 7.8% or lower before September - just in time to create big pre-election headlines. It doesn't matter what they have to do to make it happen. It doesn't matter what the reality of the situation is. They control the numbers, they feed the headlines to their mainstream media supporters (who refuse to question the numbers), and the American public is fed a shit sandwich of lies and deceit for the one and only purpose of getting reelected.

Dispicable.

Jobless Number Shell Game - Well Underway

As I (and whole lot of folks who are smarter than me) predicted last year, the unemployment rate is going down. Figures just released show it at 8.5%. Expect it to be lower than 8.0% percent in the September time frame.

Obama has begun crowing about it, stating that it is great progress, we have turned the corner, we're headed in the right direction.

Just as predicted.

Does this mean the economy is getting better, and jobs are being created? Not exactly. What it does mean is that Obama and his cronies are massaging the numbers to make them fit what they need for re-election.

New jobless claims for LAST WEEK dropped to about 350,000. They have been hovering around 400,000 per week for many months. (This was touted by the Obama Administration and mainstream news as HUGE progress). What this means is that between 700,000 and 800,000 people are filing new claims for unemployment each month - meaning they lost their jobs.

Obama's bunch reports that about 200,000 new jobs were added last month, and that this is responsible for the dip in umployment. What the hell kind of math is that?

700,000 minus 200,000 is a net loss of 500,000 jobs for the month. How can the unemployment rate go down with a half million more people out of work?

Here's how ... Obama's bunch has been changing the definition of what being unemployed means. If you can't change the numbers, you change what numbers are counted.

People who have exhausted their unemployment benefits are no longer counted as unemployed. They are simply dropped out of the equation. Likewise, folks who find temporary employment when looking for a permanent position are not counted. Long term unemployed , those who have given up trying to find a job, aren't counted. Those on welfare aren't counted. Obama has dropped millions of people who are unemployed out of the equation, to make himself look better.

If all classes of people who were counted in the unemployment figures when Obama took office in 2009 were counted today, the unemployment rate that would be reported would be above 11 percent.

If everyone who wanted work and couldn't find it were counted, the true, actual unemployment rate for the US would be above 17 percent.

Unemployment rates for African-Americans, even using Obama techniques, is above 16 percent. Why is this man still a hero to the Black community?

(BTW - that 200,000 figure for added jobs last month included 50,000 temporary Holiday seasonal positions, positions eliminated this month.)

If this is confusing to you, ask yourself this basic question: HOW CAN THE UNEMPLOYMENT RATE GO DOWN IF THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO LOSE THEIR JOBS IN A MONTH OUTNUMBER THOSE WHO FIND WORK, BY A MARGIN OF FOUR OR FIVE TO ONE?

Update - The figures for NEW unemployment benefit applications for last week have been announced - 399,000. That'a almost 400 thousand newly unemployed folks. No word from the Obama Administration on how this affects their magic 8.5 percent number ...

More Amazing Government Waste

The people who are wasting our money like this ought to be thrown in jail ...

Our tax dollars, over 250,000,000 of them, have been wasted by Medicare to buy penis pumps for men over the age of 65, during the past decade.

Yes. According to some stupid idiotic Medicare rule, Penis Pumps are valid ED treatments and are fully covered with taxpayer provided reimbursements.

This is ludicrous. It is beyond comprehension. It is infuriating.

My tax dollars are being wasted on sex toys for old geezers.

Why in the HELL are our taxes being thrown away on anything related to sex or ED for anyone over the age of 65? For the few folks who are still interested in fooling around at that age and have a problem doing it, shouldn't it be their own financial responsibility? Why in the HELL do I have to pay for old people to be able to have sex? Old folks - if you want to screw around, that's fine - but why should I have to pay for it?

Some enterprising thieves make out like bandits (pardon the pun) on this. One was caught buying the toys from adult shops for $25, rewrapping them, providing them to Medicare patients, and billing the government for $284 each. He collected over 2 million from Medicare before he was caught.

This doesn't even begin to address the hundreds of millions of dollars wasted annually by Medicare for other ED treatments, like Viagara, penis implants, etc. It wouldn't surprise me at all to find out Medicare is paying for porno DVDS, or Hustler subscriptions.

I do not blame the Obama Administration specifically for this. This is big government waste, fraud, and outright ineptness. It's been this way for a very long time. I do blame Obama for allowing it to continue - instead of trying to get rid of this waste, it is glossed over and he demands even more of our money to throw away.

Does this frustrate you? Do you get pissed off at the incompetence of the Federal Government? You ain't seen nothing yet ...

This is the same kind of lunacy and waste that will rule every aspect of your health care under Obamacare, when all control over your well being will be decided by a bunch of pencil pushers and a huge book of rules.

Obama's DHS' Latest Tool To Fight Terrorism

This just really pisses me off ...

The Western Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission manages the homeland security program in 13 Michigan counties. This agency recently purchased and distributed new security equipment to the 13 counties, using federal money earmarked by the Department of Homeland Security.

The equipment included one Arctic Blast Sno-Cone Machine for each county. The machines cost about $900 each, for a total outlay of $11,700.

The Commission had specifically requested the machines, citing that "the snow cone machines can make ice to prevent heat related illnesses during emergencies, treat injuries, and provide snow cones as an outreach at promotional events". What these rocket scientists apparently didn't realize, or chose to ignore, is the fact that these machines do not produce ice - they merely take existing ice and shave it into a form that is usable for sno-cones.

There should be an investigation into this. If this was a dirty deal where tax dollars were funneled to someone's friend, or a political ally of someone on that Commission, then they ought to go to jail.

This is an outrage. Obama is screaming at us that he needs hundreds of billions of dollars more in tax revenue or the country will collapse. Bullshit. The government doesn't need any more of our money. It needs to stop wasting what it already steals from us! What is more outrageous than this one incident is that this kind of shit is pervasive throughout our government. The bigger the government, the more control they have over us, the more waste, the more fraud it produces.

I can see it now ... Achmed the Terrorist running out of his cave, shouting to his fellow martyr buds "Run, run away ... they're going to hit us with slushies !!!!!"


AND, by the way - do a google search on Arctic Blast Snocone machines, and you can find them all day long at $440 each. Our wonderful f***ing government overpaid almost $500 each for them!!!!!

They Just Couldn't Help Themselves

The left wing goobers over at the LA Times can't report a single thing without trying to put a liberal slant on it ...

In a report on the formation of a huge iceberg in Antarctica, they make the follwing statements:

"The formation of an iceberg is called calving, and although it's a fairly regular event - probably unrelated to global warming - scientists are awaiting this one with considerable anticipation. Icebergs this big calve off only about once every 10 years."

They take two scientific facts - the formation of an iceberg - icebergs this size are born about every 10 years - and manages to intertwine a reference to global warming.

Global warming, the man-made variety that is supposedly ending our planet, has reportedly been around for how many years? A couple of decades? I can say with a pretty large amount of certainty that there were large icebergs formed before 1990 ...

The new 'berg is a massive amount of ice about to break off the Pine Island Glacier, on the western edge of Antarctica. When it finally breaks free, it will measure about 308 square miles in surface area.

The Pine Island Glacier has been producing large 'bergs for much longer than man has been on Earth. And yet, somehow, these weasels find a way to interject a political agenda into a simple factual report.

Obama's Investment in Green Jobs - Really Paying Off

Fremont, CA based Solyndra, a manufacturer of solar panels, was touted by President Obama last year as a prime example of how investment in green technology was going to generate untold gazillions of jobs. Obama and other politicos visited the company for photo ops and speeches.

Solyndra closed its doors yesterday, filing for Chapter 11. 1100 people will lose their jobs. The 1000 additional jobs that Obama had announced that the company was going to add never materialized. A half billion dollars of Federal money, our tax dollars, was loaned to the company by the Obama Administration. That money was spent by the company, and is gone - completely wasted.

Solyndra follows two other solar panel manufacturers into bankruptcy in the past month. Spectrawatt, of NY, filed for Chapter 11 on Aug. 19. Evergreen, of MA, filed 4 days earlier.

All three companies cited as reasons for failure being their inability to compete with Chinese companies producing the same products for 40% cheaper.

Renewable energy products and companies will become important in our society when the technology becomes effificient enough and inexpensive enough for mass deployment - and when they can produce enough energy to justify the expense. The Federal Government cannot speed this up through artificial regulation or by pouring billions of our tax dollars into companies that are doomed to failure. Free enterprise will be the answer.

Update - the FBI raided Solyndra's HQ on 9/8, executing mulitple search warrants. What they were looking for wasn't released. I wouldn't be surprised if we find out that the owners made off with a bunch of our money.

There is also discussion about relationships between Obama campaign operatives and company executives, and over 20 visits by those company executives to the White House.

Never fear, Obamaites ... Your henchman Holder will ride to the rescue and squash any real investigation.

Update II - Emails and other evidence has come to light indicating that Obama Administration officials knew of financial problems at the company prior to issuing the half billion dollar loan.

How Ecologically Friendly Are Electric Cars?

As I sat in traffic over the weekend, wondering why I wasn't seeing thousands of Obama Motors' Dolts surrounding my evil fossil fuel burning full sized FORD F-150, this thought came wandering by.

What happens to the batteries that will be put in all of these electric cars?

So, a little research;

The Volt (Dolt) carries a 435lb lithium ion battery.

The battery, with a full charge, is projected to be good for 40 miles worth of travel before it must be recharged.

The battery must be recharged at a power station. Unlike a hybrid, the car does not charge itself while in motion.

Publicly accessible power stations are being started for free, to set the hook. Later, they will require a pre-paid card to purchase charging time. I have seen estimates that these charges will be in the neighborhood of $100 a month.

GM projects the life of the battery to be 10 years, IF the vehicle is located in a moderate climate. Extreme heat or cold are very likely to shorten the life.

GM's warranty on the battery is 8 years, or 100,000 miles. (Trust me, with only a 40 mile range on a full charge, 8 years is going to happen a lot sooner than 100K miles!)

GM projects that after 8 years, the battery will only be able to hold 80% of the charge it will hold when new. That means that after 8 years, if everything is working perfectly, the range on the Dolt will be down to 32 miles.

GM has not published a replacement cost for the battery. Industry analysts have estimated it will cost around 10 thousand dollars to buy a new battery.

What happenes to the old batteries? 435 pounds of lithium battery is a lot of hazardous waste! Due to the cheapness of lithium, there is no profitable market for recycling the material. There is only one large scale recycling company for this material in the entire world! Small scale recyling (cell phone batteries, etc.) is subsidized by the government because there is no profit in it. Industry analysts are predicting it will be 30 years before large scale lithium recycling infrastructure will be available to take care of all the dead batteries that will be discarded - and then ONLY if the price of new, raw lithium experiences a large increase. So, where is all that toxic waste going to go?


When you couple all of this with the fact that the taxpayer is subsidizing approximately 10,000 dollars of the cost of every Dolt sold, you really have to ask yourself why this piece of shit is being pushed so hard. The reason - Obama's name is on it.

How Economically Friendly Are Electric Cars?

According to Mr. Obama, emerging green technologies are the key to America's economic future. Bazillions of new jobs are going to be created in the green sector. He states it as fact, one that we can bank on.

Green Vehicles, a startup company located in Salinas CA, was touted as one of these wonder companies, due to create 70 jobs and contribute $700,000 in taxes per year to the local economy, while building Obama's perfect vision of an electric car.

Green Vehicles was given $540,000 in startup money by the city.

Green Vehicles shut its doors unexpectedly, with the owner sending out an email to make the announcement. All of the money is apparently gone, in spite of its owners statement over a year ago that they had vehicles ready for sale and delivery.

Wow, isn't that special?

My personal opinion is that any company that buillds something this ugly deserves to go belly up!

Another Eco-Scam

The University of Colorado's Sea Level Research Group has been caught red handed falsifying data in order to advance their position on man made global warming. It's so blatant, and they don't think there is anything wrong with it, that they don't try to deny it.

The Research Group is heavily relied upon for sea level data by governments, businesses, and individuals around the world. Their data on sea level, accompanied by those pretty, scary charts that show our coastline disappearing soon when all the glaciers melt, is seen as gospel. Well, their scripture is full of lies.

The Research Group's Director Steve Nerem freely admitted that the group has been adding 0.3mm to each annual set of numbers. That sounds miniscule, but bear with me ...

The reason for this falsification of the data is this: The Earth's land masses are actually rising up out of the sea, part of the normal plate mechanics that govern our Earth's composition, mechanics that take place over hundreds of thousands of years. This rising actually causes the world's oceans to be able to hold more liquid water (as opposed to frozen water). Eco-Nazis running the center decided to cancel this rising effect out of their measurements, because it made their measurements not show what they wanted them to show.

Add .3mm to each year's measurement, and you cancel out a completely natural phenomenon, and make your presentation look more dramatic.

.3mm does not sound like much, and if you're talking about a square inch of water surface, it is not. .3mm applied to the world's oceans is one hell of a lot of phantom water. .3mm is 3 times the actual, measured rising rate. So, Mr. Nerem and his buds believe that it is perfectly fine to overstate their findings by 300% in order to prop up their eco-emergency crap.

Eco-nazis and their rich fat cat supporters refer to this type of lying as agreed upon scientific fact - fact that cannot be challenged.

Sorry, it's just a lie.

Two Faced Weasel

It is a difficult decision, but I'm going to award the 'Two Faced Weasel of the Year Award' for 2011 to Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV).

Senator Reid has been leading the fight in the Senate to get tax breaks for oil and gas companies rescinded. The logic has been that they are making so much money, they don't need the tax breaks. They should be paying a full share of taxes, and more, to help pay for all of Obama's social programs. Big Oil is making record profits, so why should they get tax breaks?

OK, that is a legitimate point for discussion. (I'm not a fan of Big Oil, and I don't see any reason for tax breaks, as long as the same rules are applied fairly to other companies as well.)

However, this same Senator Reid has put into place and has consistently defended huge tax breaks for gold mining companies based in Nevada. Why? Because they paid him to do so.

Mining companies have 'contributed' 3/4 of a million dollars to Reid's election campaigns over the years. This includes 127,000 from the two largest gold mining companies in Nevada for his 2010 re-election. These two companies made $5,000,000,000 off the gold they pulled from public lands, and paid next to nothing to the government for the public land mining leases, and no taxes on their profits or operations, courtesy of Reid's protection.

In these days of soaring gold prices, why is Senator Reid delivering tax breaks to companies who are making fortunes that make Big Oil look like a non-profit outfit? Follow the money. As always, just follow the money.

I have not seen any public statment from Reid's handlers trying to explain this. My guess is that he is trying to ignore it and hope it goes away.

The CFL Scam, Part Deaux

How do you feel about paying $50 for a light bulb?

An update on the CFL scam I wrote about recently.

As of Jan.1, 2012, it will be illegal for anyone to manufacture or import 100 watt incandescent (normal) light bulbs. On Jan. 1, 2014, that ban will apply to all incandescent light bulbs of 40 watt ratings or higher. The light bulb as we know it will be illegal, and unavailable, courtesy of your wonderful federal government.

Compact Flourescent Bulbs have been touted as the successor, but don't give out as much light, don't last as long, and requirte a hazmat team to (legally) clean them up if they break. They cost up to 1000% more than incandescent bulbs.

Another technology that has been eagerly awaited is LED. This will give as much or more light for considerably less wattage (which is a good thing), and will definitely last longer, but get this ... the TARGET price for retailers, the price they are trying to get the LED bulbs DOWN to, is 45-50 dollars per bulb!

Some industry analysts are predicting that LED bulbs may drop in price down to $12-15 apiece by 2015.

If you like your old fashioned cheap light bulbs, better stock up now. The closer we get to these dates, the harder they will be to find. Some stores and manufacturers have already stopped restocking them.

Isn't it amazing how everytime the Federal Government steps in and regulates something, something that they absolutely have to control because we everday citizens are too stupid (in their minds) to make our own decisions, it ends up costing we everyday citizens a bunch of money?

I mean, really ... in two years, I'm going to be paying 1500 percent more (or higher) for a replacement for a perfectly good lightbulb.

There has NEVER, EVER been a government regulation that has resulted in savings to the taxpayer. PERIOD!

Do You Like What You See At The Pump?

How's that Hope and Change working out for you at the gas pump?

If you are not outraged by what you are paying for a gallon of gas right now, you are either a far left kook eco-Nazi, or President Obama.

There is no legitimate reason for gas to be at 4 bucks a gallon. There is no shortage of gasoline or oil. Even if every drop of oil coming out of Libya was cut off (which it has not been), it would have no tangible effect on the amount of oil available to us.

So, what gives?

Two main forces are at work. First, we have market speculators who are driving up the cost based on fear, imagined shortages, etc. Their motive is stictly profit. This is an unfortunate effect of a free market - people who have no interest in oil per se' are buying and selling it simply to gain profit. I think that there is a simple way this profiteering can be curbed, to slow the wild swings in prices - make speculators hold on to the oil futures they buy for at least a year before they can be sold. That would drive out many of the quick buck hunters.

Second, we have the Obama regime. Normally, the President doesn't have much control over the price of energy, even though the public would think he does. Obama is an exception to that rule. His policies are plain - make the price of fossil fuel so painful that it drives our country to alternative energy. He has said this openly for years, and is proud of it. If you remember in the aftermath of Katrina, he wasn't upset that gas hit 4 bucks a gallon - his problem was that it hit us so fast that it was a shock to us.

Obama and his cronies are blocking new energy exploration at every turn. We can't get to the oil, gas, and coal we have because they won't let us.

There is more oil, gas, and coal in the ground than has been pulled out in all of the years it has been harvested. The largest reserves of these resources in the world are located within our borders or just offshore.

What I can't understand is why Obama is so against us being energy independent, while he gives money to other countries to do exactly what he won't let us do here. 2 billion dolllars to Brazil to help them develop off shore oil drilling. He publicly announced we would be Brazil's biggest oil customer when they got up and running. Huh? Give our tax dollars to another country so that they can sell us oil? Here's an idea - don't give our money away, and let our companies drill here.

Alternative energy is coming, but is decades away from being replacements for oil, gas, and coal. The technology has to mature to make it usable on a large scale. Electric cars with 40 mile ranges aren't usable. Wind power is unreliable, and no one (not even eco-Nazis) want the wind farms in their back yard. Solar is inefficient, the collectors are far too large, and the eco-Nazis don't like them either (remember them objecting to a solar farm in the Mojave Desert?). Nuclear's future is uncertain - it has been almost impossible to get new reactors online in the past 30 years, and now with Japan ....

Drill, baby, drill.

It isn't a Tea Party catch phrase. It isn't crazy right wing extremist hate speech. It is common sense for the survival of our country.

I am sick and tired to paying far too much money for no legitimate reason. Come on, Obama - get the hell out of the way and let us use the resources God placed here for us to use!

As a sidebar to this, do you remember the last time gas hit 4 bucks a gallon? News coverage was non-stop. Our way of life was ending. Thousands were junking their cars and buying bikes. Cash for Clunkers. Worthless SUVs being given away. Waiting lists for hybrid or small cars. Where is that coverage now? Without the mainstream media whipping up a frenzy, we've hit that dollar tip point with little fanfare, and no panic. Did the media do this to spare us? Hell no - they did it because Obama is in office, and they want to do all they can to keep gas prices from being a negative for him as he faces re-election.

Update - Shell Oil has spent 5 years and 4 billion dollars planning to develop offshore oil drilling off the north coast of Alaska. 2.2 billion alone has been given to the Federal Government for the leases to drill on. An estimated 27 billion barrels of oil are within reach - that is 250 percent more than has flowed down the Alaska pipeline in its entire history to date. Shell's plans were to start drilling this summer.

Well, maybe not. Obama's EPA has shut it down. A 4 person EPA appeals board has ruled that drilling would violate air quality rules for a village of 125 people, located 70 miles from the drilling site. The ruling stated that Shell had not figured in emissions from an icebreaker used in exploration when determining the overall environmental impact. A computer model, produced by Earthjustice, an eco-Nazi organization leading the fight to stop the drilling permits, was the sole evidence considered, apparently.

The 4 people on this board are all registered Democrats, all appointed by Obama's EPA leadership, and one is a lead attorney for the environmental activist group Environmental Defense Fund.

4 people, one with an obvious conflict of interest, have stopped a multibillion dollar project that would have assured our independence from foreign oil imports, based on rigged 'science'. Thousands of jobs, and billions of dollars for the Alaska economy have been derailed. I will not put forth my opinion as to what should happen to these four eco-Nazis.

Obama's BP Slush Fund

As we hit the one year anniversary of 11 men losing their lives in the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil platform, I heard mention of this. It warrants some attention.

You will remember that Obama demanded that BP establish a $20 Billion fund to assist in the recovery from the disaster. BP had to give the money to the government, where it was to be controlled and dolled out by Obama's hand picked representative. No Congressional oversight, no input from BP itself, no accounting for the money. Obama and his minion had complete control of the money and how it was used.

I guess most of us would have thought that was a small amount of money, not nearly enough to cover the damages from the oil spill. Surely, much, much more would be needed as the Gulf States tried to recover.

As of yesterday, $3.8 Billion of that $20 Billion had been distributed by the government. Yes, less than 20 percent of that money has been distributed by the government.

Not exactly a headline in the mainstream media, is it?

So, what happens to the other 80% of the money that Obama demanded BP give up? Do you think he'll give it back to BP? Not a chance in hell. Will he distribute it completely to residents of the Gulf? No - he has had the chance to do that over the past year, and we see how much he has actually passed out so far.

What he has is a $16.2 Billion slush fund. Money he can do whatever he wants with, without anyone having any say or control over it. Just like the remaining hundreds of billions of dollars in the TARP fund, he's got a huge pile of money to dump on his pet projects and buy votes with.

Now, he won't be so blatant as to give it to his reelection campaign or other outright theft. He will funnel it to 'green' projects, or other social activist projects that line the pockets of his biggest supporters. He will buy votes with the money, plain and simple.

This money, along with the unspent TARP money, should go into the general fund to pay down debt - and not used for any other spending or purpose. We saw how much of an issue Congress and Obama had in cutting a tiny $38 Billion (or $352 million, depending upon who gives the figures) from the budget recently. Surely, cutting a couple of hundred billion out of our debt would be a good thing, right?

Not in Obamaland ...

Update 4/21 - Government officials and BP announced today that Obama and 5 Gulf States have agreed to take another billion dollars from BP to establish a fund to start restoration efforts in those states.

"This milestone agreement will allow us to jump-start restoration," states Ken Salazar, Obama's Interior Secretary.

$100 million will go to each state. $100 million will go to Salazar's Department of the Interior. NOAA will get $100 million. The Federal Government will get $300 million, for 'other projects'.

OK ... I ask again, what happened to the $16.2 billion from the original BP shakedown that hasn't been spent? Isn't restoration and recovery what that money was supposed to be for? Why is Obama sitting on it, and why is he demanding even more from BP?

Your Tax Dollars Paid For This

This is what Obama and his EPA thinks is a good use of our tax dollars. How can anyone in their right mind look (or listen) to this garbage and not understand how our government is throwing our money away? Unbelievable.

The Economy Is Doing Great!!!!

The Economy is on the rebound.

Jobs are being created.

The recession is over.

We're moving forward.

It's all due to Democrat policies.


Get ready to be bombarded with crap like this. From this summer through next year's elections, we will be subjected to a constant flow of lies from Democrats about how great things are. Why?

Think back to 2003/2004. The economy was in pretty decent shape, considering the hit we took on 9/11. President Bush's tax cuts really helped head off a major decline. The recession we were in, which had started in 1999 under Clinton, had bottomed out, and there was real progress being made. Things really weren't bad.

In step the Democrats. They need a message. So, the economy is all gloom and doom. They spend the next two years talking the economy into the toilet. It works, and they win both houses of Congress in 2006. They continue the blast of crap. Even though they control Congress and how money is spent by the government, they still talk down the economy, it's all Bush's fault, and we end up with Obama in 2008.

Problem is, the economy by that time really is in the toilet, due in no small part to their constant bashing. They figure that once Obama is in office, it will instantly turn around just because they are now in charge of everything.

It doesn't. Things get worse, much worse. Now it is due to actual Democrat policies, not just their trash talk. They try to reverse their speaking, try to talk their way out of the recession. Doesn't work.

Now Obama and his minions own this economy. No matter how much they try to continue to blame Bush, the majority of folks who actually vote know the truth. This scares the crap out of them. They got pasted in the mid-term elections, and they know they will lose further. They will probably lose the White House in 2012 unless the economy turns around quickly.

Now, they begin a campaign to convince voters that everything is getting better. All we have to do is give them some more time in office, in control, and we'll be back in utopia in no time.

They are manipulating facts and figures. Remember that the jobless rate fell to 9.8% last month. Well, no one is falling for that. How can the jobless rate fall when jobs are still being lost by the hundreds of thousand each month? How can it fall when job losses far outpace jobs created? Because they monkey with the numbers.

It was just announced that they number of those folks filing for unemployment benefits fell last month. It was spread all over the mainstream meda as great news - Obama's plans were working! Never mind that it was really very bad news - all it meant that the number of first time filers had dropped slightly - there were still several hundred thousand jobs lost, it just wasn't quite as many as the month before. Is that a recovery? Not really ...

Dem talking heads have stated that Obama needs unemployment to be at 8.00% in order to assure reelection.

Fair warning to you all. You are going to hear more lies, spin, and twisted numbers in the next 18 months than at any time in our nation's history.

The CFL Scam

No, I'm not talking about the Canadian Football League ...

Compact Flourescent Bulbs. These are the light bulbs that your government, pushed by eco-nazis, is forcing you to use instead of good old fashioned light bulbs.

If things keep progressing as they are, in a couple of years it will be illegal for you to own or use a normal light bulb. It will be illegal for manufacturers to make normal light bulbs. Indeed, many manufacturers have stopped making them, and what is on the shelves and in warehouses now is it. Once they are gone, you will be forced to buy CFLs.

The selling points the left is using to force these things on us are:

1) CFLs use considerably less electricity to operate than incandescent bulbs.

2) CFLs last much longer than incandescent bulbs.

Sounds pretty good, doesn't it? Who can argue that those two benefits would be good?

Well, here is the reality of CFLs:

1) CFLs do use less electricity when compared one to one with incandescent bulbs. How much less - well that is open to interpretation.

2) CFLs generate much less light per bulb than normal bulbs. For instance, if you use a 60 watt incandescent bulb, and switch to a CFL bulb, you will get 50% less light. Now, that is not a scientific number derived by testing and published by the government or CFL manufacturers, it is real world experience from my Mark One Eyeball in my living room.

3) CFLs last a fraction of the time an incandescent bulb does. Again, firsthand experience is a whole lot more telling that the lab numbers. I have external floodlights on my house. I had normal bulbs that lasted 10 years in one of these fixtures. I replaced one that burned out with a CFL. Then I replaced it again about 6 months later. Then I replaced it again about 5 months later. Where an old style bulb lasted 10 years, I'm on my third CFL bulb in about a year. (And I use factory brand name bulbs - not off brand) (BTW, related to 2) above - I was using 75 watt rated incandescent floods. I had to replace them with 120 watt CFLs to get the same amount of illumination.)

4) You can not throw away a CFL (legally). They are poisonous, and considered hazardous waste. If you drop and break one on your floor, you are supposed to call a hazmat team to clean it up. I am not kidding!

So, you have to pay more for the CFL bulbs initially. You may have to buy more of them, if you are forced to add light fixtures to get the same amount of illuminiation you are used to. You will have to buy them much more frequently due to failure. You are supposed to pay to have them recycled, and face a stiff fine if you are caught not disposing of them properly. If you drop one, you are supposed to pay for a hazardous materials handling firm to come out and clean it up.

Every stinking one of these points is geared towards making you pay more, either to the government, manufacturers, or cleaners.

The fact that these things contain mercury and are hazardous to the environment immediately cancels out any 'green' benefits.

So, why are they forcing this on us?

Like so many other things the government does, if you want to know the real reason, follow the money:

Manufacturers, like GE, make tons more money on CFLs. GE is in bed with Obama and the far left part of our government. GE spends millions in political donations to make sure the politicians they buy and pay for help their business. So ... politicians force us to give more of our money to GE (and the other companies that support those politicians).

Facebook - What Lurks Beneath The Surface?

I have been personally concerned about Facebook since it started invading our lives. I have seen relatives and friends become so dependent upon it to communicate that phones, email, and even texting have gone by the wayside. It has become an integral part of so many folks' lives. It has allowed friends from long ago to connect again. It allows people from all over the world to communicate directly with each other. It is an easy way for groups of friends to communicate with the entire group. It seems to be such a great tool, and it is free.

Free???

There are tons of money spent developing and hosting Facebook - constantly updating and adding improved features. So ... how does all of that get paid for? Where is the profit for those who created it, and those who run it? Are they doing it out of the goodness of their hearts? Out of a dedication to social service? A contribution for the good of mankind?

Hardly ...

The information that Facebook gathers from its users comes from what they enter in their profile, their account information, and the automated tracking of what it's users do, where they visit on the internet, what they tell their friends, and who their friends are. Users have no control on what information is gathered, indeed, do not even know it is being gathered. Users have no control over how that information is used, or who uses it.

Information gathering is especially profitable/horrific when it involves kids who use Facebook. Kids blindly believe that they're only talking to their friends when they are on the site. They don't realize that their communcations are open for others to read and collect. They don't realize how information they think is cool to share with their buddies can be used to harm them or their families. How many kids tell all their Facebook friends exactly where they (and their families) are at any given time? Hundreds, maybe thousands, of burglaries across the world have occurred because a kid unknowingly told a thief that their house was empty. How many kids have unknowingly accepted friend requests from pedophiles and predators, and then divulged dangerous information to those bastards?

Information gathered is not only available to those who gather it, but is targeted by hackers. Huge databases of identities and personal information are prime targets for theft.

A huge danger that Facebook poses for kids is social misuse. Bullying. Ridicule. Cliques. All that stuff that our kids face while they grow up. Except, now it is not just verbal, it is spread out on the internet, where the entire world can see it. Some kids always have had a cruel streak in them when it came to their contemporaries. Now, they have a powerful tool to take their cruelty to a never seen before level. Kids are killing themselves because of cyber-bullying, and Facebook is the primary enabler.

Another danger is inherent in Facebook use. Because of its popularity, its massive audience, and the incredible number of files that are passed through it (pictures), it has been identified by internet security experts as the biggest source of computer virus infenction in the world. A photo that your friend posted can easily have a virus scabbed onto it after it is posted, without the friend having any knowledge of it. You view the photo, and you have created a highway right to your computer for that virus to come screaming in. In many cases, commercial virus scanners (the ones that most people have on home systems) are unable to prevent this. Then when you post a photo, the virus attaches itself, and spreads amongst the rest of your friends. Photos are a favorite way for virus' to travel between computers.

Virus' are also imbedded in many of those cute games and apps you see pop up on Facebook. A word of advice - if you see something that looks cute, and you don't know where it came from, don't open it. You'll probably be sorry if you do.

For all you Facebook users, just remember this ... the people who make Facebook, and the people who take advantage of it for illegal/immoral purposes, didn't make it to give you a convenient tool to keep up with the members of the Class of '75. They built a tool to make a profit off of you, or to steal from you, or to hurt you. The benefits you see in using it are their hook.

So, if you use Facebook, Be careful! Watch what information you put out there. Monitor what your kids are doing, what they are saying, and to whom. Buy the best internet security program you can get, and keep it up to date.

Update - Forbes Magazine has reported that the creator of Facebook is now worth $50,000,000,000, and is likely to be MUCH richer soon after Facebook issues its first IPO.
