Obama's DHS Hoarding Even MORE Bullets!

Our Department of Homeland Security has communicated to ammunition manufacturers, querying which ones can provide an order of 2 million rounds of ammunition in a short turnover situation (30-60 days after placement of order).  No explanation has been provided for the reason for the short turnaround, and no explanation why DHS needs 2 million additional rounds of ammo on top of the millions they've been stockpiling recently.

There are only two valid explanations.

First, DHS wants to book manufacturing capability, to make sure that those bullets are not available for sale to the general public.

Second, DHS is continuing its buildup of firepower for possible use against the citizens of this country.

Remember - DHS has no interests, tasks, or obligations outside of our borders.  They will play no part in armed dealings with another country unless that country invades the United States.  ALL other armed dealings with other countries are handled by the US military.

What in the hell are Obama and Napalitano preparing for?  Are they seriously worried that they are pushing us so far that it will result in armed revolt?

(The GAO has just begun an investigation into why DHS is buying so much ammo.  One hopes for an impartial effort, and one that is not delayed for years by Obama, DHS, and DoJ stonewalling.)

Update - Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) agrees.  In an interview with Aaron Klein/WABC Radio over the weekend, he stated the following:

“Let’s make sure that your audience out there is aware, Aaron, that our president, Obama, has been doing everything he could to stop the private ownership of guns in America,” Inhofe said. “You know that, everyone knows that. And yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority. And so my feeling is that he’s doing this to buy up [ammunition] so that we can’t buy.  Honest, law-abiding citizens here in the United States, like my son, can’t even buy ammunition because government is purchasing so much.”

Sen. Inhofe went on to explain how he is trying to combat this outrage, through his introduction of the "Ammunition Management for More Obtainability" bill.  The crux of this proposed legislation is to restrict the Obama Administration to buying no more ammunition for non-defense purposes to levels maintained prior to His Highness taking power.

MRAPs for DHS - Why?

Our illustrious Department of Homeland Security, spurred on by its incredibly effective leader Janet Napalitano, has purchased 2717 MRAP vehicles.

MRAP is a Mine Resistant assault vehicle, developed for use by the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan.  Quite a few were delivered to the Marines as well.  Thousands were hurriedly built and delivered to those wars, when it became evident that the HUMVEEs the Army was using for troop transportation were deathtraps when targeted by IEDs.  The design of the vehicle is specifically to protect the occupants in the event of an IED or mine explosion underneath or nearby.  I have not seen any statistics, but what I've heard here and there says that the vehicle does this function well.

For some unknown reason, DHS has procured 2717 of these vehicles for use within our borders.  The report I saw indicated that these were Army vehicles, made surplus by the drawdown in the wars.  Each vehicle was refurbished and reequipped for domestic use - at an unreported cost per vehicle (probably in the 6 figure range per vehicle). 

(It is possible that these were new build units, purchased from the manufacturer, but the reports I've seen hint that they are ex-Army refurbs.  The reports don't come out and state this as fact, however.)

Why does civilian law enforcement INSIDE the United States need 2717 of these vehicles?  Why did we need to blow millions (maybe billions?) of our tax dollars on 'refurbing' these?  Why are we going to spend millions more operating and maintaining them? 

What are they going to be used for?

There are a few light armored vehicles assigned to large law enforcement agencies around the country currently.  In a few occasions, they are used in violent situations to protect or rescue officers or civilians.  For the most part, however, they collect dust, cost a bunch of money, and are used for props to show how badass the local Sheriff is. 

These MRAP vehicles will never be used outside of our borders against our enemies.  They will never be used to defend our borders - no one is shooting anti-tank rockets across the border at our agents, and no one (yet) is planting mines on our side of the border trying to blow up agents. 

So, who is the enemy these will be used against?  What threat is DHS addressing by spending our money on these?

Maybe the same enemy DHS is addressing by stocking up on over 1.5 billion pistol rounds?  The same enemy DHS is confronting by attempting to buy up every assault rifle that is being produced and will be produced for years?  The same enemy DHS is cowering by buying hundreds of millions of rounds of .223 rifle ammunition?  Could they be preparing for the civil unrest that IS going to result eventually if Obama's rape of our country doesn't stop?

Great ... Obama's DHS is using our money to arm itself against US!



Oh ... and for the eco-kooks out there - this vehicle gets an awesome 7mpg.  It's empty weight is 19 tons.  How's that for Obama's commitment to green?

DHS Becomes Obama's Eco-Nazis

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano has apparently decided the Global War of Terror has been won, and we are completely safe. I say apparently, because the DHS is now shifting focus to become Obama's Eco-Nazi minority protector squad. If you really needed one more piece of evidence to convince you that the Department of Homeland Security is a huge, useless, out of control mess, this would be it.

Somehow, I don't think this is what Congress had in mind when it forced President Bush to create DHS.

Update - The Baltimore Sun reported that DHS agents raided a Baltimore fleamarket on April 23rd.  After a 2 1/2 year investigation, agents swooped in a rounded the bad guys up.  Were these terrorists, Islamic extremists, drug cartel members?  No ... they were local vendors who sold counterfiet handbags and DVDs. 

OK, those selling fake junk from China ought to be busted, but by Homeland Security?  Is that what our billions upon billions of tax dollars funding DHS are being used for? 

If you want to know why, remember that this is Obama's DHS.  Hollywood, the majority of whom are diehard liberals, feel that they are losing billions of dollars to Chinese knockoffs.  How better than to make sure your Hollywood kook base is in line than to use DHS make a show of going after those who are stealing from the mouths of Hollywood?

Obama's DHS' Latest Tool To Fight Terrorism

This just really pisses me off ...

The Western Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission manages the homeland security program in 13 Michigan counties. This agency recently purchased and distributed new security equipment to the 13 counties, using federal money earmarked by the Department of Homeland Security.

The equipment included one Arctic Blast Sno-Cone Machine for each county. The machines cost about $900 each, for a total outlay of $11,700.

The Commission had specifically requested the machines, citing that "the snow cone machines can make ice to prevent heat related illnesses during emergencies, treat injuries, and provide snow cones as an outreach at promotional events". What these rocket scientists apparently didn't realize, or chose to ignore, is the fact that these machines do not produce ice - they merely take existing ice and shave it into a form that is usable for sno-cones.

There should be an investigation into this. If this was a dirty deal where tax dollars were funneled to someone's friend, or a political ally of someone on that Commission, then they ought to go to jail.

This is an outrage. Obama is screaming at us that he needs hundreds of billions of dollars more in tax revenue or the country will collapse. Bullshit. The government doesn't need any more of our money. It needs to stop wasting what it already steals from us! What is more outrageous than this one incident is that this kind of shit is pervasive throughout our government. The bigger the government, the more control they have over us, the more waste, the more fraud it produces.

I can see it now ... Achmed the Terrorist running out of his cave, shouting to his fellow martyr buds "Run, run away ... they're going to hit us with slushies !!!!!"


AND, by the way - do a google search on Arctic Blast Snocone machines, and you can find them all day long at $440 each. Our wonderful f***ing government overpaid almost $500 each for them!!!!!

Obama's DHS - The Nation's Protectors

Obama's Department of Homeland Security has sent us a video in time for the Thanksgiving holiday, intended to alert the American public to an imminent threat to our national security.

Does it concern being vigilant during this busy air travel time? Does it ask us to keep a look out for suspicious activity as we shop the crowded malls on Black Friday? Not exactly .....

This is a wonderful example of how the left views us, the public - completely stupid and incapable of any independent thought. We must be controlled, and protected from ourselves. A few genious Ivy League liberals know what's best for all of us. Thank God we have such people in charge!

This, from the Cabinet level department responsible for overseeing everything related to defending our country. Billions of our dollars wasted each year on this bloated mess, and this is what we get!

Napolitano's DHS Nazis Sieze Rare Warbird

This is a Douglas AD-4N Skyraider, a Navy attack aircraft made in the 1950s. Very few of these massive aircraft still survive today, and one in flyable condition is extremely rare. There are a handful on the warbird circuit here in the US.

This specific aircraft, registered N121CH, last served with the French Air Force. It was restored in France, and found by a US based collector, who purchased the airplane and imported it to the US last year. Currently located in Alabama, the aircraft was registered with the FAA in September 2008.

On April 13, 2009, Department of Homeland Security agents showed up at the Alabama airfield, siezed the airplane, and padlocked the hangar. Their story is that some paperwork was incorrectly filed, even though the exact same procedure has been used for multiple warbirds brought into the US over the past 30 years. DHS has announced their intention to have the aircraft scrapped.

DHS, since its inception under President Bush, has never done this. Dozens of warbirds have moved into and out of the country over the past 8 years - the procedures and paperwork are well known. Now, DHS under Obama/Napolitano has decided to flex its muscles by siezing private property legally imported into the country. Not only that, they are threatening to destroy a very rare piece of our military aviation heritage.

The EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) has gotten involved on the side of the owners, and a legal fight will ensue.
