After hearing about yet another delay by the Obama Administration on a decision concerning the Keystone pipeline, I came to the realization of what his strategy is.
Obama absolutely does NOT want to make any decision concerning Keystone before the 2014 mid-term elections. He does not want to alienate the far left eco-kooks. Likewise, he does not want to piss off people who want Keystone, for jobs and for energy independence. He doesn't give a shit for himself, since he's not going to face re-election (will he?), but he really wants to keep the Senate in Dem hands, and would cream his jeans if he could get back the House.
Canada has publicly, many times, declared that a pipeline is going to be built. It will either come down to Texas, or go to the Canadian West Coast to fill Chinese super tankers. Canada is in the position that they will have to make a commitment pretty soon as to who is going to get all that oil - the US, or the ChiComms.
If Obama keeps delaying any decision, he is forcing the Canadians to make the decision for him. When Canada throws up their hands and declares that China is going to get it because the US is dragging its heels, Obama wins all around. He gets to claim to the eco-Nazis that he killed Keystone, while claiming to the sane people of the country that it wasn't him - those evil Canadians killed the project.

How Far Has Obama's Election Set Back Race Relations?
I've been thinking of writing this for a while, but something set me off today that caused me to put pen to keyboard. This morning I heard a self proclaimed black woman in her '50s, a grandmother, on a radio talk show espousing to the white conservative host how she KNOWS for a fact that she is victimized by racism each and every day (Of course, she couldn't or wouldn't provide any specific examples.) This lady didn't sound like some wild eyed Black Panther, or some race baiting kook like Sharpton. She sounded like she was the type of person you could sit down and have a meal with and become friends with very easily - if she didn't start laying out her thoughts on race.
The election of Obama was supposed to heal race relations in this country, wasn't it? Wasn't that, in fact, part of his election strategy - that he was the Great Uniter, the one who would bring all people of all races together in one big happy Socialist Commune?
I submit that race relations in this country are worse right now than they have been since the mid-60s. It is not because America rejected the notion of a Black President. It is not because everyone who opposes Obama's policies are racist. It is because the Civil Rights Movement long ago stopped being a movement and became a way of life. Many people of all races on the left, and many people in the black community have latched onto the Civil Rights Movement and do whatever they must to perpetuate it - for that movement provides their wealth, power, and ego satisfaction. Any movement by America towards racial healing is a direct threat to those people and their way of life.
Obama has directly contributed to this. You hear him in flowery speeches deriding racism, and putting forth the notion that we need racial healing. He then turns around and makes other statements that directly inflame racial hatred. "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon'. The President of the United States said that before the facts about that kid's death were known, whipping up black hatred. He could have called for calm and reason ... instead he threw gasoline onto the fire, as he has done on multiple other occasions. When have you EVER heard him call for calm and reason in relation to an issue based on race?
The first black President could have done what he said he would during his campaign. Race relations in this country could have been (and should have been) at the finest point in the history of our country. In spite of his policies, his leadership on race could have moved us forward - to the point where having a black President would be no big deal. He could have broken down that door and taken race out of the equation. Instead, he has used his stature and captive audience to return us to a state where black vs. white dominates the news.
The tired old fallback of left wingers is that anyone who disagrees with Obama does so simply because he's black. That makes them racists. While I admit there are a few white people in the country who don't like him because he is black, and they ARE racists, the number of those idiots is small - much smaller than it would have been years ago. What those same left wingers completely ignore is all the people who voted for Obama because he is black. Vote for someone because of his skin color, vote against that same person because of his skin color - equally racist, isn't it?
In the eyes of many black folk, and many left wing white folk, I am a racist because I am a white conservative. Because I am a registered Republican, I must be a racist. I am guilty of racism each and every day in these folks minds, simply because of the color of my skin and my politics. They don't know me, they don't know a thing about what I think. Yet, there it is. You don't even have to hear it from a black person directly. Left wing media outlets, like CNN and MSNBC force feed that belief every single day. Why? Because it benefits the left politically. Whip up minority hatred towards Republicans and you secure votes. Doesn't matter if it is true or not.
To the black person who thinks I am a racist because I am white and conservative - you are a closed minded bigot who is much more guilty of racism then I ever have been.
To the left wing a*hole who portrays me as a racist for those same reasons - you are a racist and a liar, someone who treats the black person as a simpleminded tool to be manipulated and used for your own political advantage.
I hate Obama because of his policies, not the color of his skin. His skin could be purple or green - it doesn't matter. What does matter is what he is doing to our country. I would have been perfectly happy with Condi Rice, or even Colin Powell as the first black President. I am a big fan of Dr. Ben Carson. (Of course, since they aren't left wingers, they aren't 'authentically black' for the race baiters.) I could even have stomached Obama a little better if he had helped racial relations in this country, in spite of his policies, instead of capitalizing on his position to feed the fires.
How far has He set us back? Decades? Who knows. One thing is certain - He is very happy with the success of his efforts.

I Feel So Much Safer ... Don't You?
So, Obama has chosen Susan Rice to be his next National Security Advisor. Wow ... if this had been any other administration, I would have been surprised by the sheer stupidity of this. Obama is rewarding this idiot for lying to the American people on live TV about Benghazi.
Susan Rice has been our UN Ambassador. She has done a few things there that were OK, but for the most part was as spineless as a piece of wet toilet paper when it came to standing up to the UN and our enemies around the world. Would you expect her to act any differently as His NSA?
She'll fall lockstep in to what He, his Secretary of Defense, his Chief of Homeland Security, his IRS, his DoJ, and his EPA believe - that the only threat to 'their' America is those who disagree with them - Republicans ... Tea Party members ... Conservatives ... Right to Life.
Just one more example of the absolute lunatic that is in control of the White House.

Obama's DHS Hoarding Even MORE Bullets!
Our Department of Homeland Security has communicated to ammunition manufacturers, querying which ones can provide an order of 2 million rounds of ammunition in a short turnover situation (30-60 days after placement of order). No explanation has been provided for the reason for the short turnaround, and no explanation why DHS needs 2 million additional rounds of ammo on top of the millions they've been stockpiling recently.
There are only two valid explanations.
First, DHS wants to book manufacturing capability, to make sure that those bullets are not available for sale to the general public.
Second, DHS is continuing its buildup of firepower for possible use against the citizens of this country.
Remember - DHS has no interests, tasks, or obligations outside of our borders. They will play no part in armed dealings with another country unless that country invades the United States. ALL other armed dealings with other countries are handled by the US military.
What in the hell are Obama and Napalitano preparing for? Are they seriously worried that they are pushing us so far that it will result in armed revolt?
(The GAO has just begun an investigation into why DHS is buying so much ammo. One hopes for an impartial effort, and one that is not delayed for years by Obama, DHS, and DoJ stonewalling.)
Update - Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) agrees. In an interview with Aaron Klein/WABC Radio over the weekend, he stated the following:
“Let’s make sure that your audience out there is aware, Aaron, that our president, Obama, has been doing everything he could to stop the private ownership of guns in America,” Inhofe said. “You know that, everyone knows that. And yet he’s been voted down in a big way by a large majority. And so my feeling is that he’s doing this to buy up [ammunition] so that we can’t buy. Honest, law-abiding citizens here in the United States, like my son, can’t even buy ammunition because government is purchasing so much.”
Sen. Inhofe went on to explain how he is trying to combat this outrage, through his introduction of the "Ammunition Management for More Obtainability" bill. The crux of this proposed legislation is to restrict the Obama Administration to buying no more ammunition for non-defense purposes to levels maintained prior to His Highness taking power.

Obama Coming To Dallas For Cash
His Highness is visiting Dallas this Thursday, April 25th. The 'official' reasons for this are to attend the opening of the George W. Bush Library at SMU on Thursday morning, along with all the other living Presidents (this is customary for ANY Presidential Library's opening), and to attend a memorial service in West, Texas in the afternoon. OK, both of those are understandable, and laudable.
However, a third event to be held Thursday evening is the prime attraction, the biggest reason His Highness would lower himself to set foot in the Republic of Texas.
A Democrat fundraiser, held in Obama's honor, will be held at the house of Naomi Aberly and Larry Lebowitz. Those two are married, though you wouldn't know it by looking at the names. Aberly is a big time Democrat fundraising 'bundler', responsible for over a million dollars for Obama's two White House runs. Lebowitz is a very rich hedge fund manager. Both are sympathetic donors to various Democrat causes, including Planned Parenthood.
The home the dinner will be held at is valued at over 10 million. It has over 12,000 square feet, 5 full baths, 3 half baths, two fireplaces, and a pool. It is in the most exclusive area of Dallas, home of the ultra rich.
Sixty lucky donors will be allowed the honor of being under the same roof as the Royal Couple. Over a million dollars is expected to be raised for Democrat coffers at the event, which is closed to the media.
Now, there's nothing illegal about this under our current system. Obama can come to Dallas, or go to Hollywood, and walk away with huge bags of cash from the liberal elite. I don't even consider it immoral ... EXCEPT for the liberal hypocrisy of it.
Here is Obama schmoozing for dollars from the evil, rich, lily white 1% he so publicly despises. Here are rich liberals, eagerly handing over piles of their own money to this guy who professes to hate them and what they stand for. Here is a hedge fund manager - the epitomy of evil capitalism that Obama's Administration had pledged to eradicate, turning over gobs of cash to help that Administration.
A sane person just has to ask 'why'? Not just conservatives, but liberals as well, ought to be questioning the hypocrisy of this. The '99%'s' ought to be wondering what the hell is going on, when their Lord and Savior is hobnobbing with the very people he has told them to hate.
Do you think Aberly, Lebowitz, and the other 60 or so fools in attendance give a damn about poor black people? Do you think they lose sleep over the plight of the poor, innocent, hard working undocumented workers from our south? Are they concerned over the lack of adequate healthcare for the victims of virtual slavery imprisoned in our inner cities? Oh, hell no ...
If they were sincere, they would be turning over all of their money and possessions, giving them to either the government, or to charity. Of course they could keep a little, say $50K each, to help them until they could pick up a job flipping burgers. But once they are settled in that job, they should be perfectly happy with their circumstance, thrilled that the government is providing them with so much, and internally comfortable knowing that they 'made a difference'.
Instead, they sit behind armies of lawyers and accountants, pulling every trick legal and illegal, to skirt the tax system in order to keep as much of their money as possible. They look down their noses at the very people they profess to idolize.
It's not about social justice - its about control and power. These fundraisers are all about buying influence, and the time old tradition of trying to be seen with the 'in crowd'. Hypocrites ...

National Gun Registry - It's On Its Way
As I've been telling you here for some time, one of the biggest things Democrats are trying to push through under the guise of gun control is a National Gun Registry. This is pure, unadulterated, liberalism out of control.
Well, according to Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), language in the bi-partisan 'background check' compromise bill that Dems and Repubs are so proud of will allow Eric Holder and his boss to create such a registry. They can do it without Congressional approval, without Congressional oversight, without any vote by Congress or the people, and with whatever rules and regulations they wish.
Republicans - don't get fooled by Democrats complaining that they are giving up too much in this 'compromise' bill. It is a ruse. The biggest thing they want is buried in there. Contact your Representatives and Senators and demand language in any bill that will specifically forbid the establishment of any kind of registry for gun owners anywhere in this country! (And then watch the Democrats howl bloody murder!)
Update - Even more is coming to the surface about what's buried in this bill. Doctors will be authorized to declare someone a mental health threat unilaterally - no hearings, no independent verification. If they do so, the doctor will be required to report such a person to the government as mentally ill. At that point, such a person is blacklisted for many things, not only gun ownership. There is no limit as to how far such information would spread.
What if the doctor is mistaken? What if the doctor is having a bad day and makes a rash judgement? What happens if the doctor doesn't like the patient, or is having an affair with a patient's spouse?
Under this bill, you can be declared mentally ill, have it reported to the government, and not even know it!

Democrat Bait and Switch On Immigration
I tried to watch Chuck Schumer (D-NY) this past weekend on the Sunday talking head programs, discussing his participation in the 'Gang of Eight' Senate effort to come up with an Immigration Reform Bill. I couldn't stand it, and turned the channel - I don't like some snake oil salesman lying through his teeth.
To listen to Schumer, and other Democrats, all they are doing is common sense things that no one should oppose, because they are common sense and have overwhelming bi-partisan support of the American People. Notice the key buzz words ...
They are not common sense, bi-partisan, harmless, or supported by the vast majority of Americans. No way ...
In a nutshell, the Democrat plan is to issue blanket amnesty to all illegal immigrants, phrasing it 'probationary'. Then, the Feds will consider border enforcement, using new 'metrics' to measure how secure the borders are. (Interestingly enough, he specifically refused to discuss what those metrics are.) Once the Feds declare the borders secure, then a path to citizenship will be established for all those on probation.
Three parts, to be done in a very specific order. Why?
First, 'probationary'. There was no definition offered of what probationary means, other than 'the poor victims will not have to be constantly be watching over their shoulders'. No offer of what could revoke such probation. No explanation of what rights and benefits those under probation would receive. (We already know that HHS has determined that Obamacare will cover illegal immigrants - what other Federal, State, and local benefits will they receive? Democrats do not want the borders secured. They see illegals as a free flowing spigot of manufactured voters - and there is no way they want to see that windfall dry up. Once they pass their version (if it passes), they very much hope that masses of fools from south of our border will flock here to get their free citizenship and free shit from the government. Every one will be indoctrinated into becoming a Democrat voter - for Dems are their saviors.

President Reagan allowed 3,000,000 illegals to become citizens/residents, based upon a promise from Democrats in Congress that Border Security would be fixed in exchange. It never was - there was never an effort to fix it. Shame on Republicans for not pressing that issue when they had control of Congress - they were fools to ignore the issue when they could have done something about it. Fast forward to 2013 - Dems stand to gain anywhere from 11 to 20 million new voters if they can shove this through. Why would they allow anything to be passed that would dry up that source of future votes? Pass amnesty, block any tightening of the borders, and a few years down the road reap another sizable catch of votes.

Obama Using Selective Pain To Train The Masses
Obama and his minions have become masters at the use of selective pain to shape the behaviour and opinions of those stupid enough to fall for it. How successful has it been? Very ...
Obama's Administration has gone out of its way (and continues to) to make the sequester budget cuts as painful to Americans as possible. There are many, many areas where that small amount of money could have been cut from the yearly increase in spending our government takes (there was no cut in spending, merely a cut in the rate of growth!). Many of those areas would have had little or no effect at all on our citizens. Instead, they've gone out of their way to make the cuts hurt, and make them very visible.
The slashing of our military. Ships tied up at the docks, idled. Navy Air Wings mothballed, possibly never to fly again. Aircraft carriers stuck in port, with some possibly slated to go to mothballs. Air Force squadrons cut. Aircraft by the hundreds retired prematurely. Thousands of civilian DoD employees fired, or have their pay cut. Thousands of soldiers/sailors/airmen told they're no longer needed. AIRSHOWS CANCELLED!!!!!
The latest silliness ... the US Department of Agriculture will furlough a significant number of meat inspectors, because it can't afford to pay them. The same US Department of Agriculture will continue spending millions of dollars on a program to promote the use of Food Stamps to illegal immigrants in Mexico. What sane person would make that kind of priority decision? The answer is no one - there is no sanity in this purpose, merely the infliction of pain. Cutting meat inspectors BAD - cutting a stupid program to tell foreigners how to steal Food Stamps, well that would actually be GOOD, so we can't have that, can we? The pain tells us budget cuts are bad, and to be avoided no matter what the cost. So, whenever Republicans call for more cuts, public opinion is NO! They hurt too much.
(By the way - Senate Republicans tried to shut down the Mexico Food Stamp ripoff - and were thwarted by Democrats, who blocked their attempt. Apparently, DoA officials who regularly travel to Mexico to 'meet with officials' on the program enjoy their 'south of the border' vacation romps too much!)
Do you think this is preposterous, and you aren't dumb enough to fall for it? Consider this - how joyful were you when gas prices dropped to the 3.50 a gallon range not too long ago? You would be jumping up and down and praising His Highness is prices dropped down to 2 bucks a gallon - at least most people would. Given the glut of supply and shortening of demand over the years, gasoline ought to be in the 1.75 a gallon range - and it should stay there for a LONG time. There is no gas shortage. Why are we so compliant about the outrageous prices? Because they were forced on us, and we got used to them. Just as Obama and his Energy Secretary and EPA have publicly stated they wanted. We're paying twice as much as we should be, and we're happy to do so - because we've been trained by the pain.
Update - Another example brought up by Rep. Ted Poe (R-TX) ... Obama is still planning on giving Pakistan millions of dollars in aid for education, while curtailing the Armed Forces tuition assistance program. So, our tax dollars will line the pockets of corrupt Pakistanis instead of assisting out military men and women gain their education. That is totally F**ked Up!

Hate To Say I Told You So ...
Back on Jan. 28, I told you in a post here that Obama's EPA was going to try to get into the picture on gun control, by ruling that lead based ammunition was a pollutant, and therefore subject to EPA regulations.
The first step in that process has been made.
Rep. Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) has introduced a bill into the California legislature that would outlaw the use of lead ammunition anywhere in California. It is being done under the guise of lead being a pollutant.
Look for the EPA to get involved. Their foot in the door is that lead ammo endangers endangered species.
Supporters of the bill plainly state that their plan is to pass it in California, where Dems have solid majorities in the Socialist commune of Sacramento, to set the stage for a National effort.
If the EPA gets involved with this, as Obama has directed them to do, then they will certainly try to impose their will on the entire nation.
This isn't about pollution. It is about a bunch of immoral liberals trying to impose their will upon the rest of us, by any means necessary.

Chuck Hagel - Secretary of Disaster
I just watched a portion of Chuck Hagel's Initial Greeting address, given to an auditorium full of Pentagon workers on Feb. 27th. What a joke this man is. A rambling, disconnected mess that appeared to be putting the audience to sleep.
It is obvious this man is not up to the job. He has no knowledge of Defense. His foreign policy experience is pathetic. His public statements over the years have made it clear he's in the Obama mold - pro-Islamic terrorist, anti-Israel.
He spent most of his time harping upon his past accomplishments, about how he works across the aisle, how is a Vietnam Vet, how he will not stand for any discrimination, how everyone in the military deserves equal benefits - which is all fine, except that the underlying message is straight from the White House's desk - the Gay agenda will be fully supported in Hagel's Pentagon.
Chuck Hagel was a disaster in his confirmation hearings. I saw pundits all over the place observe that he was unprepared, couldn't answer basic questions, and was the most unsuitable candidate for a cabinet position that anyone could remember.
Hagel is in the Pantagon for one reason, and one reason only - he's a lap dog, and will do whatever Obama tells him. He believes in a weak military, so is the perfect person to help Obama dismantle as much of the defense department as possible. Make no mistake - one of Obama's goals for the rest of his term is to undercut and marginalize our military. Remember - to liberals, the military is evil ... unnecessary ... a drain of resources that could be used for social programs ... and a symbol of America's bully status in the world.
Sequestration is not the first shot. Defense was already in the midst of serious budget cuts - enduring the first year of a 10 year program that was to cut $475 billion. Now, sequestration has doubled that amount. Cut the money, put an anti-defense lacky in charge - hello Democrat win column.

National Gun Registry - Pure Evil Liberalism

Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) has come out publicly and stated that Democrat demands for a National Gun Registry is an absolute non-starter for any deal on gun control legislation.
Sen. Coburn - you are a hero!
Democrats want a National Gun Registry. They hide their enthusiasm for it, for they know that if the general public was made aware of the true reasons they want it, there would be a vicious backlash against them.
A National Gun Registry, according to Dem wishes, would list every legal gun owner in the United States, their personal information, and the type of weapons they own. Anyone purchasing a gun would automatically be added to the registry.
Why? Think about it. What possible use could a registry be to prevent mass shootings? The answer is absolutely NONE.
A National Gun Registry provides Democrats with a base of information to attack gun owners. Think about it ... Say President Clinton in 2017 decides she wants more money for Obamacare. What better way (in liberal minds) than to levy a huge tax on every assault weapon owner in the US? Say she wants to pay for smart tablets and unlimited internet access for all the 'Free Shitters' who make up a big block of Democrat voters? Well, in the name of the One, Obama, lets tax everyone who owns a pistol. What's to stop them?
Say a Democrat controlled Congress and a Democrat President pass legislation that confiscates all assault weapons owned in America? A registry gives them the addresses of everyone to send their Brown Shirts to knock down doors. What's to stop them?
If they have the information, they will misuse it. There is NO valid reason for the government to have this information - it serves NO purpose other than to attack legal gun owners.
Assault weapons, background checks, magazine sizes, mental health - all of which and more are issues valid for discussion in the gun control debate. A National Gun Registry is NOT valid for the discussion. We should all recognize this for what it is, and fight it.
Thanks to Senator Coburn for calling this attack on our liberties for what it is. More Republicans, and Democrats who defend the Second Amendment, ought to be out front and center of this debate pointing this out. Democrat slimeballs are going to try to pass a registry through, buried deep in the legislation, without discussion - hoping like hell that no one notices.

So This Is Why Obama Likes Golf So Much ...
Have you ever wondered why Obama spends so much time on the golf course? 114 rounds so far during his presidency. That's a lot of PTO over 4 years, far more than any 99% gets, that's for sure. All paid for by the taxpayer, of course. That's a lot of time on the green for someone who professes to be the best streetballer in the world.
Well, maybe its not the love of the game, or the recognition of the long history of beating little white balls with sticks.
Here is Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) offering his opinion on what golf is good for. His reason pretty well falls into line with what Obama believes. Golf exists to provide money to the Government.

Of course, Ellison, Obama, and their far left buddies believe ALL money belongs to the Government, no matter who earns it or how - and Government is the only one qualified to distribute that money in a 'FAIR' way (Obama called it redistribution of wealth).
I can easily imagine Obama sitting in the Oval Office, feet propped up on the historic desk, watching the last round on Sunday afternoon, seeing who he's going to call the IRS on Monday about - to collect His share of the winner's purse.
Oh ... one last point. Phil's treatment by the press and the PGA was blatantly racist.
Phil Mickelson was skewered not long ago when he made statements in the press concerning how much he was being taxed while living in California, and that he might move out of the state because of it. He was immediately hammered in the press, and the PGA came down on him like a ton of bricks. He was forced to retract the statement and apologize the next day, even though what he said was completely based in fact.
Here's the racist component. Phil is white.
Tiger Woods moved out of CA a couple of years ago, and he was quite open with the press about why - CA's high tax rates. Wood's comments were treated as completely understandable by the media, and the PGA didn't stomp on him for an apology at all.
Tiger is half black (which means he's in the same mold as His Highness, and therefore infallible).
ANYONE wanting to leave the Socialist Commune of California is completely in their right mind. The state has turned into a looney bin, and is on its way to bankruptcy. When you lose 63% of your income to Federal and state income taxes (not counting all the sales, usage, and other taxes that CA and local municipalities heap on), you'd be an idiot for not wanting to get out.

Obama Victimized By A Smackdown
I heard about this on the radio yesterday, but some of you may have missed it. Obama attended the National Prayer Breakfast yesterday morning. It may be the last time he does so.
This video documents the comments made by Dr. Benjamin Carson. Dr. Carson is highly regarded in the field of medicine, a very respected man in his field. He is also quite the scholar. Dr. Carson lays out a very thoughtful, conservative vision of how to fix what is wrong with our country. At the 20 minute mark, he will begin a short diatribe on healthcare - a subject he is vastly more competent to talk about than His Highness. What follows is a wonderful smackdown of the Socialist-in-Chief, who is a captive sitting a few feet away.
Obama sleeps through most of this, wiping his eyes and nodding off a few times. You will see him occasionally looking into his lap, I presume to check his Blackberry. You will notice that when Dr. Carson begins talking about healthcare, Obama's eyes never leave his device - he has tuned the Doctor out, for he has no interest in hearing him. You will notice that Obama never once gives any applause.
Oh, and by the way ... Dr. Carson is black. Dr. Carson grew up in a poor part of Detroit, and pulled himself up to become a leader in his field through hard work and his God given talent - not government handouts.
You watch - today there will be liberal talking heads all over the news crying foul over Dr. Carson's rude, terrible treatment of His Highness. They will also spit out there tired old excuse for any person of color who doesn't agree with their liberal agenda - he isn't authentically black.
There are snipets of this on Youtube that are only the healthcare portion. I chose to link in to his entire presentation. If you have the time to watch it all, I think you will be pleased.
Update - Dr. Carson is the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Johns-Hopkins University. That means he is VERY MUCH MORE QUALIFIED for what he does than Obama is for what he does .

CNN, MSNBC, NBC, etc ... they were all piling on.

Conclusive Evidence That Strict Gun Control Works
News from Obama's home stomping grounds of Chicago should become more ammunition (pun intended) for him to use for his War on Guns.

Given the overwhelming success of Democrat generated gun control in Chicago, why wouldn't the rest of the country want to jump on board? Why is Obama flying all the way to Nevada to hold a campaign rally (at taxpayer expense) to announce his gun control edicts, rather than to his home turf of Chicago?

Obama's War on Ammo
I heard today that Obama has not quite publicly directed his minions in the EPA to begin drafting regulations to attack the manufacture of ammunition.
What does the EPA have to do with ammunition, and how can Obama use this as a central piece of his War on Guns?
The majority of ammo produced consists of lead (or has a lead component).
The EPA will claim authority over manufacture of bullets by calling them environmental pollution.
Sound crazy? Why? Look at the EPA. It has turned into a rogue agency, inventing authority over whatever industries and resources that Obama and his environmentalist whacko base want to shut down. It's Director is leaving under a cloud, having broken the law on multiple occasions. The EPA is causing the shutdown of multiple industries and the loss of hundreds of thousands of jobs. It stands in the way of energy independence at every turn. It is Obama's backstop, his personal pack of Brown Shirts that he can use to do his dirty work - things he can't get done through Congress, and things he doesn't want to be publicly transparent. This is not receiving a lot of attention. They want to keep it under the radar, so that public outcry doesn't build.
Imagine - get on a waiting list for a small box of bullets, then having to submit to a background check to qualify to buy it, and having the amount you receive rationed. Every far left kook in America will be laughing their asses off at us - 'You got your guns, but nothing to shoot in them!'.

Obama's Directives On Guns ... Yawn ...
As released by the White House today, here are the 23 hard hitting gun conrtol measures that Obama is going to implement by Executive Memorandum, bypassing the do-nothing NRA controlled evil gun clinging Congress. He has followed through on his pledge to the left to attack guns and their owners - Congress, the NRA, and the Constitution be damned. He is taking these drastic measures to save our kids, and they absolutely MUST all be implemented immediately, or thousands will die! The left cheers from coast to coast (actually coast and coast, since no one in the center of the country except illegals is a Democrat).
I looked at this list when it was put out, expecting the worst. The headlines were assault ban, magazine ban,
ammo ban, etc. I kept looking through these 23 items for the hard hitting things that would really piss me off.
They aren't there.
These are 23 things that fall into these categories; Common Sense - Useless - Already Being Done.
Obama is making headlines by touting his 23 measures, hoping his minions don't read the fine print to see what the 23 measures actually are.
The items in here that actually make sense would have passed through Congress with no problem. The stupid shit is just to pad the numbers, to make the total of items larger and more impressive. None of these warrants Presidential action - its all for show.
1. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal agencies to make relevant data available to the federal background check system. Good, though what means 'relevant data'?
2. Address unnecessary legal barriers, particularly relating to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, that may prevent states from making information available to the background check system. Good
3. Improve incentives for states to share information with the background check system. Good, though again, what information?
4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks. Good, though it is alarming to think that this hasn't already been done.
5. Propose rulemaking to give law enforcement the ability to run a full background check on an individual before returning a seized gun. Good.
6. Publish a letter from ATF to federally licensed gun dealers providing guidance on how to run background checks for private sellers. Good.
7. Launch a national safe and responsible gun ownership campaign. Useless waste of time and money.
8. Review safety standards for gun locks and gun safes (Consumer Product Safety Commission). Good, though once again, why hasn't this already been done?
9. Issue a Presidential Memorandum to require federal law enforcement to trace guns recovered in criminal investigations. Good, but I would think that this is alrady being done.
10. Release a DOJ report analyzing information on lost and stolen guns and make it widely available to law enforcement. Waste of time - anything coming from DoJ is out of date, incomplete, and what is the point anyway?
11. Nominate an ATF director. Good, though this was going to be done anyway.
12. Provide law enforcement, first responders, and school officials with proper training for active shooter situations. Good, much needed.
13. Maximize enforcement efforts to prevent gun violence and prosecute gun crime. WTF does this mean? Useless statement.
14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence. Useless. What does the CDC have to do with guns they are not a disease.
15. Direct the Attorney General to issue a report on the availability and most effective use of new gun safety technologies and challenge the private sector to develop innovative technologies. Useless statement, waste of time and money.
16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes. Obamacare is his - doesn't he already know this?
17. Release a letter to health care providers clarifying that no federal law prohibits them from reporting threats of violence to law enforcement authorities. OK, no harm.
18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. VERY Good.
19. Develop model emergency response plans for schools, houses of worship and institutions of higher education. Good, much needed.
20. Release a letter to state health officials clarifying the scope of mental health services that Medicaid plans must cover. OK, no harm.
21. Finalize regulations clarifying essential health benefits and parity requirements within ACA exchanges. WTF does this have to do with guns? Waste of time and money.
22. Commit to finalizing mental health parity regulations. Mental Health 'parity'? What is that?
23. Launch a national dialogue led by Secretaries Sebelius and Duncan on mental health. Useless, waste of time and money.
Now, don't fret - Obama still wants to outlaw your guns. He's just realized that he's going to have to go through Congress, or at the state/local level to get it done. I think his minions convinced him that he couldn't do anything substantial unilaterally, or it would have been shot down by SCOTUS and Congress. However, he had to come out with something, to show his base he was acting forcefully on the matter. What a load of crap.
Oh ... there is a cost to all of this crap he's just dumped on us. The White House estimates that there will be $500,000,000 in immediate costs for implementation of His decrees. The ultimate cost, over the life of the decree's reach, is stated at $4,500,000,000. No word from Obama on which rich people he's going to soak for the money.

Fiscal Cliff - We're Being Lied To
The fiscal cliff approaching us is on pretty much everyone's mind (except for the free shit generation). We're getting close to the deadline for legislation to avoid the myriad of tax hikes and automatic budget cuts that are supposed to trigger on Jan. 2.
You would think that Congress and Obama would be hard at work trying to head off the impending disaster. That isn't necessarily the case ...
Obama just this week appointed Tim Geithner, Secretary of the Treasury and tax cheater, to be his representative in negotiations with Republicans on the issue. JUST NOW!!!!!!
(This same Tim Geithner, the person who is supposed to the be fiscal guide for the country, the expert on fiscal policy, came out early this week and stated that the Debt Ceiling Limit should be abolished - so the government can spend how ever much money it wants, and drive us as deep into debt as it wants, with no legal restraint. How's that for responsible fiscal policy?)
Democrat leaders in both the House and Senate have been blurting out their talking points on the subject to any camera they can find. Budget cuts are off the table, unless they are Defense. Social Security reform can't even be talked about. Obamacare is unapproachable.
HIs Highness, instead of being right in the thick of negotiations, is out blowing a lot of taxpayer money on a campaign tour to prop up his 'soak the rich' message.
Geithner had his first meeting with John Boehner, Speaker of the House, today on the emergency. Boehner came out of the meeting frustrated and angry that Geithner had presented absolutely nothing in the way of proposals except for their months old line of 'raise taxes on the rich' ... no reform, no budget cuts, no tax code changes - nothing.
Here are the facts of what Democrats are proposing at this point to come up with the required 1.2 Trillion dollar amount of cuts/revenue required to keep the automatic Jan.2 cuts from happeneing;
1) Raise the tax rate on the rich from 35% to 39%.
2) Count on savings from Medicare and Medicaid, that will supposedly provide savings ... BUT in no way can be allowed to impact any amount of benefits delivered to anyone. (How this is supposed to happen is beyond me. Obamacare already counts on robbing 761 billion dollars from these two program in order to fund 'free Obamacare shit'. How in the hell are they going to find more than 761 billion in waste and fraud in those programs, and if they do, how much is that going to be?)
That's it.
Those are the only things Democrats have been willing to consider. Someone who knows 'liberal math' needs to explain to me how raising the tax rate (which will result in slightly less than 80 billion in additional revenue per year) is supposed to solve a 1.2 trillion dollar requirement. Anyone have that answer for me?
Someone who understands liberal economics need to explain how this tiny drop in the deficit bucket is supposed to outweigh the devastating effect the higher tax rate will have on small business (the largest employer in the country), cause hundreds of thousands more people to lose their jobs (the layoffs have already begun), and push the country further down into a general recession. Someone please explain the logic of that tradeoff.
Given the facts of what Democrats are (or are not would be a better portrayal) proposing, you would think the public outcry would be massive. Well, most of the public doesn't know about it, for the mainstream media is busy portraying Republicans as the roadblock to an agreement.
Now, here's a little secret ...
Congress passed the law that will trigger the automatic cuts. Congress passed the laws that will cause the automatic tax increases and the same time.
Congress can just as easily pass a law negating those earlier laws. There is no such thing as a permanent, untouchable law (even though Democrats tried to write that provision into Obamacare, in order to keep any future Congress from repealing it - that effort failed).
Congress can also pass laws undoing the fiscal damage after the fact, if they want to.
So why all the hubbub, why all the outrage? Because 'Fiscal Cliff' is a headline, and it is an issue that Democrats are using to bash Republicans over the head. Dems and the manistream media are barraging the public constantly with 'rich, white Republicans hate you, and they're only interested in keeping their money'. It is effective. For their target audience, it is like chumming the shark infested waters.
A side benefit to Democrats is IF the automatic cuts are triggered, the Defense Department gets eviscerated - and that makes liberals orgasmic in anticipation.
The Fiscal Cliff is a win/win for Democrats. It is a lose/lose for Republicans, for no matter what bad option happens, mainstream media will blame the GOP for it.

Geithner brought the President's proposal and laid it out - 85 billion in increased revenue per year by allowing the Bush tax cuts for 'the rich' to expire (which is a tax increase). 1.6 trillion in unspecified new taxes over the next 10 years. Hopefully some additional savings can be found in Medicare, but no cuts, no commitments. AND, Obama takes complete control of the debt ceiling, raising it whenever he wants to - not when Congress (which has the Constitutional authority) approves.
Not a single budget cut or reduction in the proposal - nothing but tax increases - plus an unprecedented power grab.
Unbelievable that a President, who is out there right now campaigning on how bad the Republicans are, and how they are preventing any kind of deal, has the gall to roll out such a pile of bullshit, and then get indignant when Republicans go WTF?
Update II - More details of Obama's 'opening offer', presented by Geithner. It included INCREASED spending in the form of another stimulus bill. The amount, 85 billion dollars, is more than the expected revenue gain from their raising the tax rates on 'the rich'.
If this doesn't expose their attack on the rich as what it is - an attack based on FAIRNESS ... uh, I mean HATRED, made to please Obama's base. That's all it is - it isn't about the money at all.
Obama has decided to punt and make the Republicans come up with a plan. Then he can sit back and shoot it down, without ever having to put forward anything serious himself. Lazy, calculating f**k ...
And, please don't believe that he's going to be hard at work trying to find aq compromise right down to the wire. No, Dear Leader is spending the time between Dec. 17th and Jan. 6th in Hawaii, on an all expense paid (by the taxpayer) 5 Star beadch front vacation for him, family, and several dozen of their friends. I wonder how the 99% feel about paying for that? Being in Hawaii keeps him away form Washington, and away from any actual work on this issue.

Obama states that those rich white bastards have to be soaked for more taxes, in order to cut the deficit and pay down the debt. He's stated that he MUST havbe 1.6 trillion in new tax revenue in order to do it. 1.6 trillion ... our debt is 16 trillion. Seems like there is a synergy there, doesn't it? The normal, brain dead idiot who voted for him will believe him when he says he's going to cut spending and fix our fiscal problems with all this money taken from the evil rich.
Well, guess what? The vast majrotiy of that 1.6 trillion is earmarked by Obama towards NEW spending, above and beyond what he's already burning through;
75% of what Obama is demanding, 1.2 trillion dollars, will go towards NEW spending. Not exactly the public message he's spitting out, is it?
