Now, Hold on a Minute .....

A local job fair has made big news on the local TV stations, and in the paper because of the industry putting it on - adult entertainment.

As I read the article this morning, it was mildly amusing, until I ran across a WTF?

A woman interviewed for the article, Bernice W., had just applied for a job as a topless dancer. The rep of the club she interviewed with said she would get a followup audition. Bernice W. is unmarried, 22, and has an infant child. She spent 3 years in prison for aggrevated assault with a deadly weapon. She hasn't held a steady job since her release from prison 2 years ago. Her last job was in a fried chicken greasy spoon, where she made $139 a week, barely enough to cover her cell phone bill. Her CELL PHONE BILL???

What's wrong with this picture? She has no money, an infant child, is not married, no job ... and she's worried about her cell phone bill ..... her child goes hungy while she yacks on the phone to her friends about nothing.

This says so many things about our society, especially the less fortunate members of our society.
