The French are one of the few countries other than the United States that has an active and viable (though very small) aircraft carrier force.
One of the aircraft types they use is the Dassault Super Etentard attack aircraft. This jet is known for carrying the Exocet anti-ship missile.
Here is one that has a less than successful launch. Fortunately, it appears that the guy got out OK.
Some days it doesn't pay to get out of bed!
