Meet Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D-MI). She has been one of Michigan's Senators since winning the seat in 2000. Sen. Stabenow is a member of the Senate Finance Committee, and was recently appointed to the Senate's Energy Committee.Showing her incredible grasp of the subject she is now tasked with helping create legislation to control, Sen. Stabenow recently said this in defense of Obama's Cap and Trade Bill:
"Climate change is very real. Global warming creates volatility. I feel it when I'm flying. The storms are more volatile. We are paying the price in more hurricanes and tornadoes."
Rocket Scientists like this are the people who are writing the laws that govern our country. The United States Senate is supposed to be a collection of 100 of the most brilliant, respected minds in the country. Looking at Democrat representation in that very elite group - Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Barbara Boxer, Roland Burris, Robert Byrd, Chris Dodd, Russ Feingold, Dianne Feinstein, Al Franken, Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Chuck Schumer - is like reading a cast list of Monty Python's Twit Government Olympics.
Hey all you Michiganders out there - aren't you proud to have such a distinguished, knowledgable person representing your state?

Oh my God, will this insanity ever end? Might as well just bend over, because with "wisdom" like this in charge we are screwed!
Now, now, maybe she just meant her arms get more tired than they used to when she's flying -- you know, bec. of those storms.
67, what, you don't have anything to say about the lady on her phone during the town hall meeting? Wasn't she one of yours from Texas??
You know, I think that one speaks for itself. There isn't anything I could add that would make her feelings towards her constituents any clearer.
She had the gall to try and blame it on creative tape editing!
