Coward-in-Chief Strikes Again

Obama is singlehandedly castrating our military. What our enemies worldwide have been unable to do by force, he has chosen to do by pen. Unilateral disarmament. The ultimate goal of every left wing kook - a country without the means to defend itself and its allies.

Obama has, by himself, decided to redefine what our military is, and what it does.

This kind of morphing process happens occasionally as the shape of the world changes. It has been done after each of our wars. Usually, the cuts have been vicious, far too deep, and have left us in vulnerable positions. This time, though, Obama and his close circle of left wing kooks have made the decisions themselves, and the devastation that will result will dwarf all previous cutbacks.

Watch for the F-35 to be cancelled. Watch for the V-22 program to be halted. Watch for missile defense to be scrapped. Watch for work on new generation aircraft carriers to be halted. Watch for health and other benefits for retirees to be slashed. Watch for the number of people in uniform to be slashed even further than has been previously reported. Watch for incredible number of existing weapons systems to be prematurely retired, with no replacement. Watch for huge numbers of operational units and facilites to be done away with.

Obama can't do this just by himself. Congress controls the purse strings. Even though Obama can propose the cuts in a budget he submits, Congress does not have to accept it. He knows this, and will portray Congress' objections as more Republican obstructionism.

In a couple of related Democrat 'We Surrender' outrages:

Obama Administration officials have confirmed that they have offered to the Taliban in Afghanistan to release all Taliban connected prisoners currently held in Gitmo. This in return for the the Taliban opening an office in Qatar. No matter what the crimes were these terrorists have committed, they will be set free to kill again, just so Obama can claim to the world that he is pursuing peace.

The Washington Times reports that Obama told certain members of Congress last week that he is preparing to share classified US Missile Defense Technology with the Soviets. (Yes - I said Soviets. The two clowns running Russia are committed to resurrecting the Soviet Union.) For what purpose? What is this supposed to do for us?

What it will do is hand all the info needed to defeat our missile defense, a critical technology we have spent billions and billions of dollars on, to our enemies and potential enemies. The Russians are not our allies - we are just coexisting at this point in time. Russian allies ARE China, Iran, North Korea, the Taliban, radical elements in Pakistan. etc. How long will it take them to copy all that info and dispurse it to those countries and more?

Folks, there is no way to define this insanity other than TREASON.

Economic Meltdown?

A couple of years ago I ventured in this blog that a financial day of reckoning for this country was approaching. Well, it may not be a single day occurence, but it may indeed have just arrived.

S&P's decision to downgrade the US debt rating from AAA to AA+, in spite of the 'bipartisan' deal to expand the debt ceiling, has shocked the Obama Administration, and is shaking world financial markets to their foundations. Economists all across the globe are now seriously concerned about another recession, perhaps depression. If you listen to them, the message is clear - the United States government has to cut spending. This is the first time in history that US debt is not held the top rating available.

Obama's gang has accused S&P of misrepresenting Obama's debt projections in reaching their decision. What S&P did was not fall for the smoke and mirrors bullshit that Obama has been feeding to the country.

All we hear about in the mainstream media about the debt ceiling deal is how Republicans shafted
Democrats and the people by cutting spending drastically. Republicans raped the country, and is was only through Obama's bipartisan super-heroics that a deal was made. We are being led to believe that Democrats across the country are pissed at Obama for caving in. This is crap, formulated to win over independent voters by convincing them Obama is the voice of reason.

What the deal did was this: raise the debt ceiling by 2.4 trillion dollars. This is money Obama can spend immediately, and without control. Indeed, almost half of that money was spent THE VERY NEXT DAY!

It also gives the illusion of meaningful spending reductions. 1.2 trillion cut over the next 10 years, none of which is guaranteed to happen - since all of those cuts must be enacted by future versions of Congress. Even if fully enacted, this amounts to considerably less than a 10% cut.

The overall effect of the 'spending cuts' and raised debt limit reached in this deal is to add 7.4 trillion in debt to this country over the next 10 years, according to the CBO.

It also drops the spending cut ball into the lap of 12 Senators and Representatives, the Super Committee, which is charged with finding 1.5 trillion dollars in additional spending cuts by this coming Thanksgiving. Given that Dems and Republicans will stack this committee with folks who will be inflexible in their beliefs, guaranteeing that the committee will deadlock and not get anything done. If that happens, if the committee does not come up with the full amount of cuts, then an automatic cuts will occur. The automatic cuts will cut an immediate 500,000,000,000 from the Pentagon budget (not quite half of the Pentagon's entire budget), and cut Medicare reimbursement payments to providers by almost that much. (These automatics were inserted into the deal by Democrats). Dems are salivating over this - there is nothing more they could ask for than having Defense eviscerated in order to fund their social programs. Dems also love the idea of sticking it to doctors and hospitals by cutting medicare reimbursements (again), while keeping coverage requirements the same.

The whole world, even Vladimir Putin, is now telling Obama that what he is doing is insane and needs to be reveresed immediately. His Higness won't listen. His ego won't let him. His liberal indoctrination won't let him. His economic advisors, made up of academic eggheads with no real world experience, refuse to admit that their brand of economics has never worked, and can never work.

There is no question that serious adjustments to how this country operates must be made. The only question is how much longer will we leave these a*holes in power, where they will continue to block any serious attempt to turn us around.

Update - Amid GOP demands for Tim Geithner's resignation in the wake of this downgrade, Obama has come out with a strong endorsement of his Secretary of the Treasury. Unbelievable. Geithner is inept, pretending he has the knowledge and wisdom to control this country's economy. He is way out of his league. He couldn't even keep track of his own taxes, and now he's running our economy? We'd do better with no leadership rather than this 'leadership'.

Update II - Noted economic wizard Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) came out over the weekend and blamed the S&P downgrade on Tea Party extremism. Wow ... just what the hell is this idiot smoking? Actually, he's like all Democrats - complete denial that their policies are the cause of the problem. This is a perfect indicator of why there will be no meaningful attempt to correct this mess as long as they are in power.

S&P is predicting that the US national debt will reach $21 trillion in less than 10 years, if spending continues at the current pace. That does not factor in Obamacare or any additional spending Congress comes up with in the next decade. If S&P does not see significant effort by the US government to cut spending, further reductions in credit ratings are assured. One very nice byproduct of a lowered rating is that the US government will have to pay more in higher interest on the money that it continues to borrow - thereby increasing the debt even further.

Update - On a day that saw the Dow drop 633 points, Democrats, led by the Obama Administration, are putting up a united front. The S&P downgrade and all the results are completely due to the Tea Party. They don't for a minute believe that, they just will not admit they are wrong. There is nothing in their makeup or ego that will allow them to admit they are wrong. So, they blame the folks who actually are trying to do something about it.

Listen to what the S&P folks stated as to their reasoning for the downgrade. It is because of out of control spending by our government. They didn't put the Tea Party's insistence on spending cuts to be part of the debt ceiling negotiation anywhere on the list of reasons. They didn't list the debt ceiling limt as a factor at all - it is simply because Obama is completely out of control.

John Boehner and the Republicans in the House should immediately start impeachment proceedings in order to stop this lunatic.

Update - Obama's word has come down from his throne. The Tea Party is completely and totally to blame for this. Every Democrat and left wing politician, political hack, talking head, and kook in the country has been told to blame the Tea Party, and they are doing it. Hell, even world economic authority Al Sharpton led off his MSNBC program today with the headline 'It's the Tea Party's Fault, and we have to stop them'. (Yes, Al Sharpton has a show on MSNBC - you are forgiven if you did not know that - no one knows it except for the MSNBC viewing audience, which was under a half dozen people nationwide as reported during the last ratings period).

Economic Crossroads

This country, along with much of the Western World, stands at an economic crossroads. This critical time may be unmatched in our country's history, including the Great Depression. The downturn started before the 2006 mid-term elections, triggered by post-Katrina gas prices, sub-prime mortage lending, and Democrat verbal attacks on the economy (to help them take control of Congress). Obama's coronation and two years of unchecked attack on the economy by him, Reid, and Pelosi has us falling into a double dip recession, and we now stand at the brink of a depression.

Democrats continue to give lip service, saying the economy is recovering. It is not. There are no indicators that indicate anything better than a slight leveling off. There is no recovery taking place.

Obama's lunatic spending spree is causing this. Out of control Federal spending has dug us a debt hole that the country may never be able to crawl out of. Repeated issuing of new dollars without anything to back them has devalued the dollar and eroded confidence in our currency all around the world. Obama is now planning another round of money printing, which will make the problem much worse.

Our government, Obama primarily, is roadblocking Republican efforts to cut spending and reduce our deficit. They are doing this to help their relelection chances next year. They don't want any of their voting block hurt by budget cuts prior to the election, for fear of alienating them. Keeping their power is much more important to them than our country itself.

As I said, we are at a crossroads.

If Obama continues his current path, we will be in a Depression that makes the one of the last century look like happy days. The liberal text book of economics does not work - it has never worked. Yet, their only answer is to double down on their beliefs, which drives us closer to the edge. Their only answer is to spend and tax more and more. They will never admit they are wrong - to do so would admit that their vision of government being all powerful and controlling is flawed.

If Republicans in the House can block Obama's efforts, and start to reign in some of the damage, it will send a positive sign to our country and the entire world. If Republicans can take control of the Senate next year, as is predicted, the negative tide will turn. If Obama can be kicked out of office and replaced by a fiscal conservative, we are set up for a tremendous recovery.

It seems to me that America is fed up with being in the shit. Our country is just waiting for a sign from its leaders that sanity will return. Once the sign is there, I fully expect the economy to come roaring back. Business will expand, business will build, business will hire if business has a reason to believe it will be allowed to succeed. Business and the private sector will rescue this country, not Obama and the socialist utopia he is trying to create.

We need a government that understands this, and gets the hell out of the way.

I don't know about you, but I think it sure would be nice to feel good about the direction of our country once again.

Obama Ignores The Law

US Federal Judge Robert Vinson, of the northern district of Florida, struck down Obamacare as un-Constitutional. In particular, he stated that the mandate for individuals to purchase health insurance was a gross overreach by the Federal Government, one prohibited by the Constitution. As the individual mandate is a key piece of the whole of Obamacare, Judge Vinson stated that the entire bill was void.

This is the second federal judge to rule in this fashion. Two other federal judges ruled in favor of Obamacare. The judges who ruled in favor are Democrats, the ones who ruled against are Republicans. This will end up in the Supreme Court, which shouldn't surprise anyone.

When it does end up in the Supreme Court, it is not a given how that body will rule. Conventional widsom predicts a 4 to 4 split along liberal/conservative lines, with Justice Kennedy, a perennial fence sitter, being the decider. Justice Kegan, who argued on behalf of Obamacare during her time in Obama's White House, should recuse herself from the issue, since she was an active participant on one side of the issue. She will not do so ... Obama will not let her, her vote is critical to him having a chance to succeed.

In the short term, Judge Vinson's ruling should stop all work and enforcement of Obamacare - since it now does not exist as law, there is no authority for the Federal Government, or anyone else, to proceed with it. Obama's frontmen have already stated that they consider the ruling to be judicial activism (funny how they love activist judges when the are FOR liberal causes), and will not abide by the decision.

This means that Obama, Congress, and anyone else acting on Obamacare is breaking the law, until such time as a higher court reverses Judge Vinson's ruling.

26 States are pursuing lawsuits against Obamacare. Any of those states can petition Judge Vinson to find Obama in contempt of court for violating his ruling. It remains to be seen if that will happen. I doubt it.

Update - US Federal Judge Martin Feldman, of New Orleans, ruled that the Obama Administraction acted in contempt when it disregarded his ruling regarding restrictions on offshore oil drilling in the aftermath of the BP oil spill. Citing the behaviour of the Interior Department, Judge Feldman said this:

"Each step the government took following the court's imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance. Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second blanket and substantively identical moratorium, and in light of the national importance of the case, provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government's contempt."

Issued on Feb. 2, this is a contempt citation for Obama, Ken Salazar, and their Interior Department. The language in Judge Feldman's ruling is extraordinary in its bluntness and direct criticism. It is clear that the Judge is very unhappy that the federal government decided to ignore the ruling of a federal court.

If this contempt ruling had been made against an ordinary citizen, that person would be in court before the judge, or already in jail.

This is typical behavoir for the far left. Anything they want to do is OK, whether legal or not, as long as it is for their cause.

This is identical to what is happening with Judge Vinson ruling Obamacare un-Constitutional. Obama's minions are publicly declaring they will not abide by the Judge's decision, because they believe it is not correct.

You know what really ought to happen here? US Federal Marshalls, who are charged with enforcing US Federal Court rulings, should march into the White House, slap a pair of cuffs on Obama, and frog-march him out the door straight to these courts to explain himself and his actions. If he thinks he can get away with ignoring rulings he doesn't like, what in the world is to keep him from ignoring the Supreme Court when they declare Obamacare un-Constitutional? With his (and his cronies') attitudes towards the Constitution and laws they don't agree with, there is no telling what will happen then. If the President defies the Supreme Court, what happens?

A sitting US President is openly ignoring rulings from US Federal Judges, thereby breaking multiple laws. Isn't this grounds for impeachment?

Impeach This Man - Right Now!

OK, Obama has done damn near everything he can to destroy this country, but this is the last straw.
On Friday evening Obama, without equivocation, announced his support for the building of the Ground Zero mosque.

The announcement was made to guests at a White House dinner celebrating the beginning of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

Update - Obama was in full damage control today, as he has realized what a goof he made in making those comments. He's trying to clarify the comments, his spokesman trying to frame his words into what they weren't. It ain't gonna work ...

I've seen all kinds of lame bullshit out there on the right of the Muslims to build on that place. Here is an analogy.

In 1950, would President Truman have supported the building of a Japanese shrine dedicated to their Emperor directly across the harbor from the wreckage of the USS Arizona?

Update 8/17 - Obama and his spokesmen have been scrambling since Saturday to try and put into place some damage control. The public outcry abut his comments has been loud, and overwhelmingly negative. He knows he stepped in it, and is trying to lie his way back out.

Harry Reid came out with a written statement, declaring that while he was a supporter of religious freedom, the mosque should be built elsewhere. This is exactly what Obama should have said Friday. It is instructive that Reid's statement was a written press release, rather than live comments from him. His statement was no doubt written by one of his speech writers, and cleared through his staff to make sure it made him look good. I don't know if Reid truly believes his own statement - but I admit that it is exactly the right statement for anyone to have made on the subject. I will grudgingly admit that Sen. Reid did good on this one.

It has come out that a Greek Orthodox Chruch, destroyed in the 9/11 attack, has been denied permission to rebuild by the same NY commission that approved the mosque being built. This is truly outrageous. Here's the story:

How many of you have heard that the mosque complex is to be called 'Cordoba House'? Folks, do a google search on Cordoba, Muslim, and Spain, and see what you get. The name Cordoba has very significant meaning in the Muslim world. It is a symbol of Islam's victory over Christianity in old Europe. I'm not going to give you a history lesson here, but if you want to know ...

The selection of Cordoba for the name is by no accident. It does not represent the bringing together of Islam and other faiths. It represents the victory of Islam over other faiths. Putting that name on the Ground Zero Mosque should tell everyone all they need to know about what it's actual purpose is.

Update 8/18 - I am in awe of the gall of the far left in this country. All of the Democrat talking heads are framing this to be about Republican intolerance of religion. Imagine that - the far left, who hate Christianity, who hate Judaism, who hate Mormons (and who seem to hate every organized religion except Islam) are trying to lecture the Right on religious intolerance. Amazing ...

They are missing, on purpose, the fundamental issue ... very few people in this country dispute the right of this mosque to be built. Very few people want to prevent a mosque from being built. The vast majority of people just want it to be built somewhere else.

The Democrats are desperately trying to shift the focus off Obama sticking both of his feet in his mouth on this. They can't afford this to be a campaign issue in November - so they are lying and misprepresenting anythying they can to try and shift the public's focus away from the truth.

As iterrated in the comments, Nancy Pelosi has stated she wishes to start Congressional investigations into who is behind the 'organized resistance' to the mosque. Apparently in her world, no one is allowed to voice an opinion that is contrary to her own. No word on whether she will target Harry Reid as part of the investigation. Her twisted, sick mind is convinced that it has to be a Vast Right Wing Conspiracy - hatched and run from the EIB offices at George Bush's direction ...

As a curious side note ... anyone notice how neither of the Clintons have been heard from on this? Some things just make you want to go ... hmmmmmmmm ....

8/22 Update - this just won't go away ....

Have heard that several union labor leaders in NYC have come out and stated that they will not work on the Ground Zero mosque, if it is built in that locaiton. Good for them!

The far left is still trying to frame this as a religious freedom issue. Even though it is a ridiculous claim, for some reason they just have to take a stance that is contrary to what the majority of Americans feel. I wonder if Obama and Pelosi realize just how stupid they appear when they try to fall back on that argument?

David Patterson, NY's Democrat Governor, has tried to step in and meet with the mosque representatives to talk about moving their chosen site. So far, they have refused to meet with him. However, reports are surfacing that such meetings may indeed take place this coming week - whether they will involve the Governor or not, I don't know.

Angry demonstrations took place today in NYC near Ground Zero, between folks who don't want it built there, and a bunch of other folks. I wonder if those 'others' have any idea what they are really protesting - or are they just typical far left liberals who need a 'cause of the week' to go out and make asses of themselves for.

Democrat FUBARs Of The Week

Obama and his minions have given us a lot of WTFs this past week or so. There are so many, I'm just going to highlight them:


1) Obama has directed the head of NASA to change the main focus of the organization. Now, NASA is tasked with making the Muslim world feel good by praising their incredible, critical contribution to space exploration. So, in less than a year, Obama has stripped NASA of its primary mission, made it a slave to the Global Warming scam, and now an appeaser to the Muslim world. Two questions. First, does NASA report to the President, or Congress? Who does it take direction from, who controls its budget? Second, if there wasn't enough money for NASA to do its primary job, why is there enough money for it to do someone else's jobs?

Congress ought to be blowing a gasket over this. Charles Bolden, head of NASA, ought to be screaming at the top of his lungs, and resigning in protest. (His background would indicate that he would do the honorable thing.) Instead, Bolden has become an Obama koolaid drinking lap dog.

I truly feel sorry for the thousands of folks who have worked for NASA. To lose your mission, to lose your job, to lose you life's work because of the lunatic ravings of Obama has got to be painful. To see him make a joke out of the Agency has just got to make them sick ...


2) Joe Biden, proclaiming to the world during his summer tour of Iraq and Afghanistan that Obama's policies won the war in Iraq. Of all the ignorant, self centered, sickening, arrogant statements this fool has made over the years, this might be the worst. I think God was trying to get him when he spoke that crap, by directing rocket attacks against the Green Zone while Biden was there.


3) Obama's DoJ, for filing suit against Arizona over the immigration flap. I welcome this suit, which I figure will be fasttracked to the Supreme Court. Any ruling made in a lower court will be meaningless. Eric Holder's filing actually is good in one respect. It narrows the scope of the argument to whether Arizona can usurp Federal law. The suit claims that only the Federal government can make any law regarding immigration or border enforcement, that Arizona has no authority under the Constitution to pass their law. There are no mentions of racism or rights violations in the suit - mainly because there haven't been any, since the law is not in force yet.

The Supreme Court, I predict, will vote 5-4, straight down Conservative/Liberal lines, in favor of Arizona. I may be surprised, however. If they do what they are supposed to, they will rule strictly on the Consitutional issue - Federal vs. States Rights.


4) Obama's DoJ, again. Remember those Black Panthers who were filmed intimidating voters during the 2008 election? Remember Holder ordering the dropping of charges against the two? Someone who was on the inside has come forth and states that there was pressure from Holder himself to drop the cases, because the defendants were black and the 'victims' were white. Racial politics, in other words, played out at the highest levels in the land. Most everyone with half a brain presumed this was what had happened - now someone who was involved has given sworn testimony that it did indeed happen. That's a felony - and anyone involved should be removed from their position and prosecuted, including Holder, if it goes that high.


5) Bill Clinton, who during services for Robert Byrd, tried to make excuses for Byrd's considerable involvement with the KKK. Clinton said he just did it so he could win election. Yeah ... well, even if that is true, that makes it right? Imagine the firestorm if President Bush had said something like this about a recently passed Republican Senator - my God, there would be calls from the left for his lynching! (Of course that can't happen, since no Republican Senator was a Grand Cyclops in the KKK).


6) Obama has decided to bypass the Senate and appoint Donald Berwick to oversee Medicare and Medicaid. Under all accepted procedures, this position requires confirmation of the Senate, as do most appointments. Berwick has been criticized by GOP for his love of the British socialist healthcare system, and would certainly be questioned at length about it. Because he loves Obamacare, and Obama doesn't want to risk the GOP and a few Democrats blocking the appointment, Obama is pulling an end run. Berwick was nominated back in April, to fill a post that had been vacant for 4 years. Obama has carefully waited until Congress was out of town for the July 4 holiday to pull this fast one.


You know, you couldn't write a script filled with this many idiotic ego-maniacs. I can't think of a single author who could conjur up a cast that would rival this bunch of stupid morons.

Another Shining Example Of Obama's Use Of Our Tax Dollars

A Federal Highway Administration report released back on June 16 announced that the Obama administration had more than doubled the amount of tax dollars spent last year on walking and biking. $1.2 Billion dollars were spent in 2009 promoting the use of bikes and your feet as means of transportation.

$400 million of that came from funds appropriated from the economic stimulus bill.

You know, I am so happy to see my Federal Government make such wise use of my tax dollars in these days of dire deficits and economic strife ....

Obama Dep of Labor Helping Illegals

This makes my blood boil ....

The Obama Department of Labor is spending our tax dollars running an ad campaign that encourages illegal aliens to come to the DoL to gain assistance. Specifically, Obama's Secretary of Labor HIlda Solis begs illegals who think they are not being treated or paid fairly for their work should come to the DoL for assistance. The whole ad is about and targeted to illegal aliens.

Secretary Solis pitches her schtick in front of backdrop of images of presumably illegals at work. In the background plays a catchy little jingle:

"We can help. We'll get you what you are due ..."

Solis insists that the help is free and confidential.

I want to throw up.

A division of the US Government is openly, publicly soliciting illegal aliens in order to assist them in continuing to break our laws.

That division is openly stating it will not assist the other divisions that are tasked with apprehending and deporting these same illegal aliens. In fact, the DoL is conspiring to keep information out of the hands of law enforcement - obstruction of justice, which is a felony.

Our tax dollars are being spent on this ad campaing, and more importantly, being spent by the millions to help illegal aliens stay in this country and continue to break our laws.

When is this liberal, far left kook madness going to stop?

Obama's IRS Giving Tax Breaks to Prison Inmates

1300 prison inmates, including 241 that are serving life sentences, received Obama's home buyer tax credit this past year. They are part of over 14,000 individuals who fraudulently filed for and received the tax credit from Obama's IRS.

J. Russell George, the Treasury Department's Inspector General for Tax Administration, authored the report, which stated that over $26 million in tax revenue was lost from the incorrect approval of the tax credits.

To be fair, the IRS says it blocked 100,000 false claims for the tax credit, and has opened 150 criminal complaints as a result.

The report also stated that at least 87 IRS employees falsely claimed the tax credit.

Come on Obama, clean up your waste and our debt won't be nearly as bad....

P.S. - I fully expect Mr. George to be summoned to the White House and fired for authoring a report critical of the regime ....

Update - Another Obama/IRS gem has come to light ... The payments BP is giving out to persons affected by the oil spill are goping to be taxed by the IRS as normal income. So, Obama is going to get his cut of every dollar BP doles out to help the people whose livelyhoods have been hit. This will be the same for payments made out of the $20 Billion slush fund Obama extorted from BP - Obama's hand picked man will decide who gets paid out of that fund, how much, and when. And, the IRS will be there to take Obama's share. Does anyone out there seriously doubt that the slush fund will be very easy to use to reward Obama and Democrat supporters - yeah, right - you laugh at that. But there is one man, directed by Obama, who controls that money, and there is no requirement for any accounting of where it goes to.

Obama Bypassing Congress on Amnesty?

Reports are flying around today that Obama and his minions are in the midst of preparing a Presidential Executive Order that will grant amnesty to every illegal alien currently in the US. The number of affected people range from 10-22 million, depending upon whose estimate you want to believe.

8 United States Senators have sent a letter to the White House, asking for confirmation of whether this is true or not. So far, no statement has been made by Obama's mouthpiece.

If this is true, it is one more HUGE example of how Obama feels about the rule of law and our Constitution. He wants all those illegals to show up on the voter roles as Democrats, especially just before the November elections. Imagine the impact of 10-15 million new voters, voters who would be absolutely in love with Obama for giving them instant legal status in this country, along with all that provides. That would be a game changer, and give the Dems what they need to stay in power in both sides of Congress.

Would Obama have the gall to do this? Absolutely. Look at what he's done so far to this country and tell me he'd have any hesitation whatsoever to issuing such an order.

Update - This apparently is very real. The 8 Republican Senators who sent the letter to the White House are not backing off their assertions. They have not received any comment form the White House. If this was a rumor, or something made up by the 'Vast Right Wing Conspiracy", Obama's minions would be all over the news denying it and denouncing the Senators. Instead, silence.

We Need To Learn From Greece

We all need to be paying attention to what is happening in Greece these days. Those in Washington absolutely MUST pay attention.

Greece is in financial meltdown. Many years of over spending, questionable lending practices, the world financial mess, and a complete lack of financial reform has taken the country to the brink of bankruptcy. Greece's national debt now is $413,600,000,000. This is more than the country produces in a year. By the end of 2010, the debt will be 120% of the nation's gross domestic product (GDP).

Greece has asked it's partners in the EU to help bail them out. So far, there has been no agreement to do so - the other members don't see enough changes being put into place to rectify the causes of the emergency. They don't want to dump their money into Greece, just to give them a temporary bailout. Greece's problems are spreading, with Portugal and Ireland showing signs of the same issues. The Euro (which a few months ago was being touted by many countries as the replacement for the dollar for international commerce) is at its lowest point in five years, and it will continue to drop in value.

Greece has implemented what they see as tough budgetary measures to address the situation. Retirement benefits have been pushed back in age for two years. Much higher taxes on fuel, tobacco, alcohol, and other 'sin' items have been levied. Government job pay has been cut. Tough new rules on tax evasion have been adopted. The population is in an uproar, with strikes becoming commonplace. All this MAY reduce the deficit by $10,000,000,000. All of that pain to get rid of a small fraction of the debt ......

So, why should we pay attention?

If Obama's 2010 budget is adopted, the commitments it makes will have our country sitting with debt at 200% of GDP by 2020. And that is only from the 2010 budget commitments - it does not count anything added to the budgets 2011-2020. Greece's woes come from only 120% ... The financial meltdown we are headed for makes Greece look like a banker's paradise!

Obama, Reid, Pelosi, and their minions are writing checks for hundreds of billions of dollars that we don't have, that we will never have. Do they care? Absolutely not. They know their time in power will be short, so they are trying to implement as much of their far left agenda as quickly as they can, consequences be damned.

Obama makes pretty public speeches about fiscal responsibility, about cutting budgets, about being smart with our money. ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT. The cuts he talks about are a tiny fraction of what he turns around and spends, and are just a smokescreen to divert our attention away from what they are doing.

Republicans in Congress absolutely MUST block any and every Obama spending measure they can. Our country's future is on the line, and it is as plain as day to anyone who will bother to look.

This Man is Insane

Obama the Immaculate's budget hit Washington with the impact of a nuke. This man and his cronies are absolutely delusional - they are going to bankrupt this country.

In response to critics pointing out the deficit in his budget, both now and in the future, He continues to blame Bush. During his televised meeting with Republicans last week, he stood up in front of them and flatly stated that most of the defecit spending in this year's budget is a result of the previous administration. How can he get away with lying to our faces like this?

A few nuggets I've heard about this budget so far (and this is just the tip of the iceberg) ...

Obama's budget stops manned space exploration by NASA completely. It turns NASA's primary mission into one of investigating global warming. The United States, after the Shuttle's retirement this coming year, will have no way to put a man into orbit - we'll have to contract with the Russians to let us ride along on their rockets.

Obama's budget closes the nuclear waste facility at Yucca Mountain. This facility, under development for 30 years, is supposed to house the nation's nuclear waste. Obama's budget closes it completely, and provides no alternative. He spoke of expanding nuclear energy initiatives during his State of the Union speech, yet he is closing the one key facility that would be mandatory for ANY nuclear power expansion.

Obama wants to spend $237,000,000 to buy a prison in Illinios, to house the terrorists currently housed in Gitmo. This is just the purchase price, and does not include funds to staff or operate the prison.

Obama's budget hits the middle class with multiple tax hikes beginning this year. Reuters, a 'news' agency that is constantly in the tank for Obama, exposed this in an on-line story last night. The White House called Reuters, and demanded the story be removed. Reuters complied. Like everything else, Obama wants to hide what he is doing so that we don't know ...

The 'Death Tax' is completely eliminated in 2010, but returns in full in 2011 and beyond. So, if you are planning on inheiriting anything next year or beyond, the Democrats are going to take a very large share of it for themselves.

The Bush tax cuts are being allowed to expire, except for a few that are targeted to the 'middle class'.

Deductions for charitable donations are gone from 2010 forward. Yes, gone completely.

Capital gains taxes jump from 15% to 20% for 2010 and beyond.

Budget experts close to the White House are predicting that a national VAT (sales tax) of 15-20% will be necessary to come even close to paying for all of the spending Obama is trying to commit us to over the next 10 years.

This budget, by itself, spends $3,800,000,000,000, which will increase our deficit by $1,400,000,000,000. This budget, for the next ten years, adds $1,000,000,000,000 to our deficit each and every year. This is without any additional budget items added by Obama next year, or any budget filed after that, for 10 years. So, in 2020, our deficit will have $11 Trillion dollars added to it just from what is passed in this Obama budget.

Obama's budget deficit for this year alone is more than the deficits from the last 15 years' budgets put together.

Folks, we don't have to worry about China deciding not to reup their investment in our country's debt. THERE ISN'T ENOUGH MONEY IN THE ENTIRE FREAKING WORLD TO COVER THE DEFICIT WE WILL HAVE IN 2020, courtesy of this Obama budget. What happens when the world's most powerful country declares bankruptcy?
